We had a great stay and would happily recommend this apartment. The host was excellent — honest, helpful and very accommodating. The location was perfect: central, vibrant and convenient, while still offering incredible value for money. We were a family of five, and with the extra mattresses the apartment was comfortably enough for us and made it very budget friendly vs 2 room apartments!!! Just be aware that the apartment is at the top of the building, so you need to be comfortable with stairs. Overall, a fantastic stay and excellent value in a great location.

The location to this place it prime. We enjoyed living like a Bohemian Parisian in the middle of it all. We could drink wine and listen to live jazz music in the streets below, and we’re a short walk from almost everything, and also right by a metro stop. It was neat to think about the history of the place! It was built in the 1600s, and we were imagining all of the people who had lived there and the things that apartment has seen!

We loved this place, but you need to know that it’s in the middle of very lively nightlife. There is no ac in the summer, so you must sleep with the windows open, and there is noise until 4 in the morning. We found that it made a nice humm and didn’t bother us, but you may feel differently. Also, the house was built in the 1600s, so there were 5 flights of stairs to carry luggage up.

Incredible location! At the heart of the very lively quarter of Saint Sulpice. A true Balzacian experience in an old building.

Not suitable if you have a mobility challenge. Or if you are somehow not the size of a XVIII French…
