River Inn

Good

Nothing

Very large room - 40m2? We were two but could easily accomodate four. Clean, nice modern bathroom. Ideally situated in Central Dublin only a few minutes from the Brazen Head Pub. Bus stop for Airport Express just outside the door.

Some kind of on and off sound - quite loud noise as if from a ventilation system or water pipe for a large part of the night. Seems to have bern turned off in the early hours of the morning but kept us awake for much of the night.

We stayed at the River Inn Dublin with 10 girls across two family-sized rooms, and it was great for us. The rooms had plenty of space, all the facilities we needed kitchen in our room an iron outside mirrors plenty of space for us and having access to the car park was a huge bonus. We had three cars and booked parking with the hotel in advance for €20 per car, which made everything really easy. The staff were honestly fantastic from start to finish. Communication from the time of booking right through to the day of our stay was brilliant. They were so helpful, friendly and accommodating, and nothing was too much trouble. We even left an earring behind and the staff found it and offered to post it back to us such a lovely touch!

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. The hotel is next to a homeless shelter, and while we had absolutely no issues and nobody bothered us, it’s probably something to be aware of if travelling with young children, especially given some of the activity around the area.

The equipment and facilities were good. the bathroom was nice. The location was good to be so near the city centre. The shared kitchen, food and drink on offer was a nice surprise. Having a parking space was good but very expensive.

Being so near to a homeless shelter and drug rehabilitation centre - we could smell drugs so had to keep the windows shut. The beds were small and having a bunk bed over the double bed made the bed frame too short for anyone over 6” tall. The toaster didn’t work.
