Great spot to stay especially if you’re going to be attending the Helix which is only 650m from the accommodation block.

Away better than I was expecting. Far better than your usual student accommodation.

Disappointing

Room was fine. Clean and tidy.

Checkin closed when I arrived even though it was scheduled to be open. Rude security staff handled checkin eventually. Very noisy at night with party noise till 5am

Spacious apartment with comfortable bed and pillow. Very clean expect from a strong food smell of a burnt fry in the kitchen, which made me nauseous. Friendly helpful staff.

Practical

Proximity to the airport, price and ease of checking in

Unfortunately the heating stopped working during the night so the room was quite cold in the morning. We notified staff at about 9am but checked out at 10 so did not benefit from a fix.

Posh student luxury

This is very high class student accommodation. Each unit has a separate living room with the TV and a kitchen and a separate bedroom with a TV and an ensuite bathroom. Check-in procedure is quite easy, if you arrive late, there is a security guard to help you and admit you. It is also convenient from the airport. You take the bus 16 and get off at the relevant stop and walk about 10 minutes. You walk back to that stop to get the many buses into the centre of Dublin. There is also bus 44 which goes closer but that is not so frequent. You can also change buses if you want to. Google will tell you how to get there.

A little bit difficult to find at night. The instructions given are for people arriving by taxi or car. If you input the postcode provided in the booking confirmation, Google will take you there.

Spotless rooms in a great location

We booked a two room apartment as we were attending my daughter's graduation. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated . There was a communal area with a living room with a TV and kitchen., and also a balcony with a table and chairs. We arrived late due to car trouble and security staff (of which there were plenty). They really looked after us and walked us to our apartment block. I would definitely stay here again. We were expecting a lot of noise at night as it's a university campus, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was, and we slept well in the comfortable beds.

There was nothing about this trip that I didn't enjoy.

Good nights stay just outside the city centre.

Whilst slightly out of the city the accommodation was on a super regular bus route to the city. Really quiet room so a good nights sleep was achieved quite easily. Having laundry facilities on site was a bonus.

The room had 2 single beds, which was fine, but I will say the narrowest single bed I've slept on in quite a while. I was worried that I might roll over and out of the bed.

Very friendly and well located

The staff were super friendly and extra accommodating, especially the security guards who checked us in. The rooms are good size and I loved the fact we got a big living area as well with all the essentials.

Parking is limited so that can be a nuisance and the beds are a bit hard but nothing unmanageable.

Good place for one night stand, mind some walking with your luggage.

We had one night stand and that was quick, easy, all clear and well organized. There was a campus party that night, but the apartments are located in a quite zone, so we weren't disturbed. The aparment has shared kitchen - this is great actually! Though it is a university campus, I would not notice any lack of privacy.

If you are a big man the shower might feel small.

Basic but did the job - and friendly staff

To be honest, was the only affordable option on that night becuase of the culture night celebrations in town (I think). But it did the job for an overnight stay before taking the ferry. The bed is comfortable, staff very good and the check in and out is easy. Great that they could store our bags when we arrived too early to check in.

It's basic, as you'd expect. Noise from the courtyard outside is a bit annoying until late in the night. And noise from neighbouring rooms is unusually clear. Fine if you are a sound sleeper though.

Easy to get to from the airport bus 19 direct stopped outside University. Staff super helpful 20 minutes from centre of Dublin again via bus number 19. Rooms were super clean full access to shops on the university student bar prices 10 to 15% cheaper than offsite. Our private ensuite room was a good size with further access to kitchen and lounge area much more than you would get in standard hotel

Twin beds were small, but nice well equipped apartment. Handy for Croke park but a little far from the city center. Rooms were very warm and the window only opened very little.

decent place to stay near to Dublin Airport but it is full of students

The rooms were on our own floor of a tower block Relatively easy to find and park comfortable but nothing exciting - typical student accomodation

we were 4 x 50+ guys staying with a lot of under 20 kids - which felt awkward told we could have breakfast but there were at least 200+ kids in front of us in the queue so we didnt bother - it was like a school dining room not a hotel

Not bad campus facilities.

The room was very clean and tidy and campus staff were helpful. I liked the shared lounge/kitchen facilities.

The room was very hot and stuffy and unable to open windows to allow air in. Also it was noisy at night with doors slamming constantly and the would benefit from soft close fittings to prevent disturbance during the night.

The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. The bed was comfortable and there was access to a kitchen, sitting room, and spacious balcony shared with the second bedroom in the apartment. Really comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Basic but good quality furnishings etc. Good value and I'll definitely return.

The TV in my room didn't work, but there was a tv in the sitting room I used instead. There was no answer from reception when I called about it so I think the out of hours security was not around then. One thing that was a bit of an issue is that the campus had a lot of kids from summer programs around and it was extremely rowdy outside til 1am. Quiet time is meant to start at 11pm according to check in info.

Location. Good value food on site.

The noise, DCU caters for youth/sports groups, the quadrangle arrangements of the buildings makes it worse. If it were not for the excessive noise it would have been wonderful.

Good, met our expectations.

Overall it met our expectations, we stayed for one night only and it matched the photos and the details as described. The check-in after hours was fairly easy and efficient.

Not worth the hassle.

Rooms were clean enough and relatively comfy beds

Reception staff was very unhelpful. My friend and I were going to a concert so we sent a message to the accommodation asking if an early check-in was possible but we got no answer. When we got to the hotel around 12.30, reception was very quiet and we asked the woman behind the counter could she check if an early check-in was possible. She did not check for us and said no. We came back around 2.30, needing to get ready for the concert and asked a different woman and she said she would check. She said it was not ready yet, which was fine but we needed to get ready so we asked was there some bathroom/locker room we could get ready in and she said no. There was a bar across from reception with large bathrooms that we found ourselves. Location is also quite inconvenient

great value for money ..rooms were clean and bright ..it was a universal good experience

Got breakfast in town as we were catching a train ..but were recommended a cafe around the corner

only thing we were unsure of was..when we could get in to our room ..as check in was 3pm ..but msg said rooms not available till 4pm ..we had to check in and get a room as close to 3 pm ..as we were crossing city for a festival for 4pm .. we were eventually sorted

Ideal location great accomodation

It was very accessible .We used 44bus from O Connell Street right into DCU and avoided the heavy rain showers.It was very spacious clean and comfortable especially at an affordable price.

Nothing much really if i wanted to nit pick maybe the shower head but otherwise it was excellent.Thankyou.

Okay, good for a one night stay

Comfortable beds. They offer adapters at the reception. There is a cafe in the building with okay options.

The location is okay but a bit hard for an uber to get in there. The busses is not the best alternative to the airport since it takes quiet a while. Our fausset was either dripping, ice cold or strong and burning hot. The shower was old and a bit dirty.

Nice room but no kitchenet and terrible experience with the parking management

Comfortable room and nice location.

The room did not have a kitchenet, kettler or any associated utilities. Although not directly responsibility of the DCU, the parking management is terrible. The QR code needed to scan and pay is not clearly in all locations and the site is slow or hard to use sometimes. On top of, if you accidentally mistype the car plate, you get the car blocked when they do the check rounds.. and have to pay 80 eur to unlock and then maybe appeal.
