ABANDONED by host at check in time. I had been waiting for my check-in credentials for over a week, eventually receiving them at 7pm after calling, mailing, knocking at least 23 times. Bed bugs. Cannot access the facility after midnight. Not their fault, tho water went missing a whole day Very slow on communicating code changes. I cannot not access the building from midnight until noon

Stay out and pay more for much beter

The worst hostel I have ever stayed at. As a tourist, you would be better off sleeping on the street than paying for this hostel. My mate and I stayed here for a total of three nights. After the first night, we already wanted to leave, but we decided to stick it out and give it another chance. In hindsight, we should have left. It quickly became clear to me that this hostel is an investment that needs to yield as much profit as possible. They don't give a damn about tourists here; on the contrary, they want to keep expenses to a minimum. There are no staff present at check-in or throughout the day, only the cleaning crew who kick you out of bed at 9 a.m. A sign has been hanging for several weeks saying that there is no breakfast due to ‘renovation work’. You can shower, but there are no towels, so as a backpacker or tourist, you can't shower. Good for their water bill, because no one uses water. You share a room with 17 people without ventilation. A flimsy curtain gives you limited privacy. There are no coat hooks to hang your coat. The bed is good, though, and there is a locker where you can store your belongings with your own lock. Other than that, there is virtually nothing. You're better off paying a little more to stay in a more comfortable hostel where they do care about their customers. This is really a disgrace, I've never experienced anything like it. But now I know how to appreciate other hostels more.

Not great, not terrible

The location is very convenient. It's close to the center. Self check-in.

There are two bathrooms in the shared room. One for men and one for women. Shower, toilet and basin are all in that bathroom. That means when someone's taking shower, you are not able to use the toilet or brush your teeth. Also there is time schedule when you are allowed to shower. Never seen anything like that before. Housekeepers come to the room at about 9 am. Checkout is at 10 so people want to use the bathroom at that time. Plus the room is very small so when three housekeepers come in, there is not much space left to pack your stuff. These housekeepers are also very loud. I still wanted to sleep but wasn't able to. They're talking to each other really loudly. Why don't they come after 10 am, after checkout?

I stayed one night in this hostel and it was enough ! Bunk beds were wobbly and unsafe, duvet had some undefined stains, on the top bed there was a lot of dirt. I do NOT recommend!

Value for money compared to other status knowing how expensive Dublin is.

The reception wasn’t existent. The only way to reach them was on WhatsApp and reply usually slower. My request to store the luggage was denied because they had limited hours working and Sunday was off.

Good location, not a bad walk to the city centre and a few little shops for groceries nearby Small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink and a downstairs area they're currently renovating was a nice spot with board games Lockers (BYO lock or hire one) Clean bathrooms

No airflow in room as there was only one window at the far end, which meant it got stuffy and cooking smells from the next door restaurant added to this, but nothing a few pedestal fans couldn't help with No WiFi in the downstairs area Privacy curtains not on bunks as the photos show

Overpriced, dirty and unsafe

The property was not clean on our arrival. Shower was blocked and we had to clean it ourselves in order to shower. Multiple carpets were laid over the stairs which are a fire hazard. If the property is having refurbishment work done it should have been closed. It did not feel safe. Booking should open an investigation.

the bathrooms were clean and I appreciate that, location is pretty good can’t complain about it

I came here to sleep for one night check out is normally at 10 am but the clean team came in at 8/9 am cleaning and making so much noises that really annoyed me. I was sleeping and clearly they chatting and noises wakes me up they were cleaning even tho there were people sleeping. I get up and went to the toilet when I get back to my bed the lady was tidying the bed up and took my phone away from the bed and had to ask where it was that really annoyed me cause it wasn’t even 10 am then I had to finish getting dressed in the aisle that was very uncomfortable.

It is the best value for money if you want a stay in the Drumcondra area and are going to a match our a concert in Croke Park. It is just around the corner from the stadium, a 10 minute walk.

Good option for reasonable price during high season. We had separate room with private bathroom and all facilities were on place.We didn't expect luxury accommodation and our room matched our expectations. All is well that ends well.

Room was ideal, great location, facilities and value for money. The room was also well kept and clean.

Communication with the owner/staff was very bad and practically non existent. Any message sent was either ignored or not answered in full which created misunderstandings about the booking. There was also no way to phone to sort this out as calls were ignored. Which caused some stress on the day of arrival when the owner thought I had cancelled my booking which I had not. When travelling with family this is the kind of thing which could ruin your stay and is worrisome. With that said in the end the stay was pleasent due to the room, price, location and facilities compensating for this.

Dangerous in case of fire! Dorm is in back of the building with only one narrow hallway. Too many beds in the dorm. Unhealthy: Hardly any ventilation.

I was in Bunk No1 which appeared to be the only one which was three high (all others I could see were two high) resulting in less that 2 feet clearance between the mattress and ceiling lamp making it difficult to get in and out. Some rungs on the access ladder were unusable because they were up against the bed frame. Light at head of bed didn't work. No privacy curtain. All others I could see had curtains.

Some bunk bed were stacked 3 on top of each other, which makes the place crowded and uncomfortable. Bunked should be only 2 stacked on top of each other.

The room was clean, comfortable, with lots of accessories that made the stay easier. The location was perfect and everything was as per instructions of the staff. We were really happy with the choice.

The only thing we didn't like was the view of the room but it didn't make much of a difference as we only stayed there to sleep.

Cheap (good value) but someone was sleeping in my bed

The location is great and, frankly, finding and accessing the facility was easy. The other good thing was that they had breakfast included which was just some basic tea and biscuits but still better than nothing. The beds were clean too

One of the nights there was someone sleeping in my bed that was assigned to me so I had to take another bed nearby. Also, turns out you can only use the storage during the morning check-out, other times it’s inaccessible. Know that you wouldn’t be able to leave your stuff there and come back.

The fact that the manager has assaulted myself physically doing harm and caused consequential problems like stealing my belongings left at the property, and my money for my staying payment was not refunded after his assault and my leaving, also causing damage as my arrest and fare.

Not as bad as people make it out to be

Good location, decent price for a night. Curtains on beds added some privacy, which was appreciated, bathroom and kitchen were quite new. Check-in instructions were easy and straightforward, bed was quite comfy. Honestly, this wasn't the best place I've ever stayed in, but nowhere near as catastrophic as people in some reviews claim it is.

As others have stated, temperatures in the dorm were quite high, and the power sockets were quite far up, making them hard to reach from the lower bunks. Bathroom and dorm could have been a bit cleaner. Guests left their dirty dishes in the kitchen, but you can't really blame the hotel for that.
