minimalist but sufficient if difficult to find other options when US flows down in Dublin.
no hot water so showers take less time ;-)

Good public transportation.

Not only did the address provided NOT get me to the building, but once the cab driver found the place, there was nobody around to let me into the room. Yes, I came in quite late, but I was assured in advance by two people that the security guard would be available. When I asked a person walking by if they'd seen the guard, they said it's not safe to go wandering around to find him. That was scary. And then, once the guard arrived and I was in the room, it smelled terrible and I discovered the toilet was backed up and didn't flush.
Being ultra-prepared, I had even checked their own website to see "how to get there" and all it said was they were close to the airport and to take certain buses. They didn't explain that you couldn't drive onto the campus, and that you needed to skirt around to access from the rear. The address given led to the front gate, which is the opposite side of the campus from the dorm building.
Overall a horrible experience, and I'm SO thankful to my Uber driver for sticking with it and finding the dorm building.
The only reason I'm giving it 2 instead of 1 star is that it was the only place in Dublin that had a bed for under 120 euros, and it did feel great to finally sleep after a long flight. Even if it was in a stench-filled room with a broken toilet.

Friendly staff, great price, all the amenities, conveniently located, clean. Could use a new shower head, but even with that, I'd 100% stay here again and recommend others stay here too!

Our stay here went quite smoothly, and the breakfast included was a great bonus. We’d be happy to stay again!

I stayed for 2 nights. I felt incredibly safe while staying here. I also appreciated the breakfast vouchers. Across the street was a park that was lovely to walk around. It could have been a little cleaner but overall I am very happy with my stay.

It was a great stay!
Very convenient with buses to go from the airport and to the city center. The price is very good and the breakfast is complete with lots of choices.
The only problem was that we could hear people party outside quite loudly, so I wouldn't recommend to anyo e having trouble sleeping! Also, the mattresses were quite hard.

For the price of this hotel I will pleasently suprised. Clean room with private bathroom

Our room was compact, no blinds, no curtains at the 5ftx5ft window that overlooked a courtyard and a stairwell. We were unable to have the lights on or change in the room (this would have been classed as indecent exposure). The shower room had mold on the ceiling and tiles. We reported to reception the blinds and curtains were missing on two different occasions, 2 nights we slept without and coverage on the window. The night before we were taking an early flight reception decided to offer another room, so we moved late at night. The new room had blinds and curtains and faced a forest so no curtains needed. Least to say they declined a refund. The 2night stay cost £200+ for a mouldy shower room and room without any curtains or blinds. Needless to say they care more about money than their customers.

Lovely room and nice, clean kitchen. Staff were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast was a nice touch too. Room was extremely hot and having the window open meant that we could hear the international/summer camp kids all night who were very loud! Not the hotels fault ofc but don't expect a peaceful night's sleep lol

Very noisy in the evening and at night, some days better than others, bed was very uncomfortable, 2 single beds bolted together and no tv
4.0 / 10.0
Check-in at 3.00pm was extremely slow as a lot of the rooms and key cards didn't appear to be ready. There wasn't enough check-in staff on duty so a long queue formed.

Limited food options in the evening. Good transport links into Dublin centre. Would certainly stay at DCU Glasnevin again.

Very quiet, excellent breakfast, easy walk to the bus line. Basic room, but worked for what we needed.

It's ok. But due to mach was quite expensive. Evening time not possible to buy anything like water or so. Not any drink or food machines. The whole city seems to stuck in the 90s of last century. Vistors bus card only to buy physically in special shop only.

No TV in our room. Two ceiling lights and one didn’t work half the time. No hand towel the first day.

We stayed for a few nights and found it was lovely and big campus. We weren't told where to have breakfast and we got lost trying to find it, then we didn't get told what we could eat in terms of our coupons and we didn't get to eat the following two days after paying for it. The room was standard but good enough for staying in for sleeping, the sink was leaking, the tap was cracked and we got soaked in the rain and the radiator didn't even turn on. Was not happy but least we got them dry the old fashioned way. The nubar club was nice and cheap for food, the sharer we had was delicious and the pizza. Overall a pleasant enough stay

It was €75 per night so it was fine for what it is - a student apartment. I was on the ground floor beside the building entrance so a lot of young people congregated at night and they could be a bit loud. I wish that security came around a bit more. But overall it was fine - you get what you pay for. Excellent breakfast.

Nice staff, right in campus. No dishes in the kitchen.

The campus is very beautiful, and the staff is very nice and friendly.
The bus takes you to the city centre in 15 minutes and cost 2€. Considering that the room costs half the price of a similar room in Dublin City centre, is definitely recommended.

Old, tired, dirty, stained. Gym and swimming pool not connected to hotel.
6.0 / 10.0
I liked the accomendation, but not for the price I paid. It was just a simple student housing and I paid the price of a hotel. Not worth the price, but nice nontheless

The room was very spacious and was exactly as pictured online. Perfect for two people travelling together, a bus at the campus edge took us straight into town which was easy.
Funnily enough the only complaint was the water pressure was far too hard! Other than that our stay met expectations.

Price was good but trade off is without a car you need to take a bus into the city centre. Staff person on duty for check-in seemed put out and angry at all of us waiting. Line up to check in was slow. Cafeteria staff were very nice. Breakfast was included.

Good value and super friendly and helpful staff. Advert on this site was misleading as it stated that some services at the accommodation were available when this was not the case.
4.0 / 10.0
No one was around , it was so quiet and that was great. For the price the room was excellent. Its basic and it met my expectations.
Its hard to find at first if you go by public transport from the airport. The location is decent and it's got a store on site, there is a pharmacy nearby too.
Only one small thing, the double bed was 2 singles and there was a noticeable lump down the middle where the 2 beds met.

With everything you needed. Microwave and Oven included. M&S and Tesco are located in 10 min walk. Value to money
