Sea and Sky Rooiels

Perfect location overlooking the picturesque mountains and oceans...the highlight was the heated swimming pool most welcomed and ideal for kids during the colder winter days...also loved the pool table which is enjoyable for the kids who play this at home so really a home-away-from-home...

Very few things I didn't like but would have given this property a 10 star rating if only the front porch area was more closed up with windows that one could open...was very cold to sit outside at night with the cold Cape Town wind...also consider investing in shorter cues for the pool table...difficult to use within the confined space...

The views were incredible, and we were lucky to have good weather. The heated pool was lovely. Our dog had the best time inspecting the safe and secure enclosed garden. Nice indoor fireplace for colder nights.

With the description, we were under the impression that the beach was closer but it was a short drive or 5 minute walk. The house has some quirky features and could do with a few upgrades but all in all it was comfortable and had everything required, including a well equipped kitchen. So not that we didn't enjoy it, but you are paying the price for the view and pool/hot tub. We didn't need 3 bedrooms but still have no clue where the 3rd bedroom is, must be separate from main house (just so those traveling with kids are aware). Also septic tank was full, so flushing was an issue for 2 days.

A bit of mosquitos if you sleep in braai area, it has a single bed there.

We liked the location and the views was great

it was surrounded by trees and there was dogs, we couldn't get rid of flies and mosquitoes which was the worst part of our stay.
