Nice garden space. The owner was helpful.

There were contractors working and banging and talking the entire day on a Saturday! The staff were talking so loudly in the kitchen once afternoon that we couldn’t rest. The TV remote batteries weren’t working so they got replaced. These things should all be checked in advance of a new gust stay.

Beautiful but not very comfortable

Very beautiful and scenic inside and outside of the property.The host Nicky made us feel at home, however the beds and pillows definitely an upgrade Otherwise our stay was an absolute pleasure

The bed was horrible and the single bed in the room is only fit for a small child. The single bed was the most uncomfortable

The elderly manageress was warm & welcoming. BUT the HOST Nicky was rude and refused to give me a refund after booking and viewing within 5min. Stay elsewhere and have your privacy!!!

Pleasant but misleading and overpriced. It is a shared home stay

I liked the location. Nicky (the host) is lovely! And the staff were very kind and friendly.

I feel like the property is misleading. It seems as though you have a private room with facilities but not stayed in a room in a big house. It was shared living areas, shared kitchen and shared outside area. The room itself was big and comfortable but did not have access to an outdoor area. Every time I wanted cold water or to make coffee I needed to go to the main kitchen that was shared with the other house guests. I feel that for the price I could have found somewhere nicer and more private.

We couldn’t stay, the place was appalling

The property and rooms was small and unappealing. The noise from the other rooms were very Audible. When we arrived there were heard loud stomping sounds, that apparently came from the room next to ours from him exercising. He/She was loud and so was the dog in there. My partner and I couldn’t stay, so we called the host who wasn’t even there to meet us, instead we were met my some lady with no shoes who is also a guest to let her know we are leaving and wanted a refund. She was very rude and her place shouldn’t be given such a platform.

The were dogs in the property and I don’t like dogs. Many people in the property including the unfriendly owner / manager who appeared to be a racist. She expected the visitor to be out by 6pm. I’ll way of addressing people

3 Day family stay in Houtbay

Excellent facilities. Beautiful views with well-kept outdoor facilities. Pool with seating area and beautiful garden. Enough seating facilities indoor and outdoor. Enough towels are available. Very clean. Huge comfortable beds. Clean bathroom facilities with bath and shower. Beautiful views all around. Situated in a beautiful, safe, quiet area. Staff and host were friendly. Allthough the kitchen area is shared, it is fully equipped, and there is enough space for all. Enough space when you are booking for a big family. Barbecue facilities are indoor and outdoor. Safe parking space. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the host for value for your money.

I loved the view, bed and pool absolutely everything i wanted and needed. The people were friendly Loved the silence in neighbourhood TV channels and WiFi

The wooden floor can get noisy at times if kids are running up and down. If u planning a lot of activities make sure you have own transport as it is a bit far from central places and transport costs could drain u. Ideally book 2 rooms if travelling with teens or mixed genders

There is nothing fancy there, even our bed was so uncomfortable!

The dog was bucking at us the whole time, making noise, I don't know why does the dog stay with guests no all the people love dogs. The property is very dirty, no house keeping...we couldn't even use the pool, it was so dirty, I was so disappointed... I regret booking that place! 😪
