Rustic rural retreats

Perfrct get away from it all location. Silence , scenary and secluded. Spotlessly clean. Bed soo comfy.

The place was very peaceful and very picturesque. The gypsy caravan/shepherds hut was well prepared including a sweet treat in the fridge, milk, tea, coffee, cooking oil, and many pots and pans etc. Spacious private bathroom included! We loved how good the space was for our dog who had freedom to run around and we weren't worried about him escaping. They also have many cows, a horse and a pony which were lovely to see! Will definitely come back.

We genuinely didn't dislike anything about this stay.

Absolutely beautiful location and the whole site felt really personal and private, was well laid out and had lots of outdoors areas to hang out in (to eat, relax, have a fire / bbq, etc. The caravan is beautiful and cosy and clean and comfy with pretty much everything you could need provided for. The shower room / loo was prefect too.. and only a short walk away (lit in the evenings - but bring a torch too)! 🔦 The location is well placed to explore Exmoor and some of the nearby beach towns (under an hour away). Top tip for a day out - Combe Martin beach then on way back Lynmouth (for a great chippy tea at Esplanade fish bar), Exmoor Cider Tap Room and Valley of the Rocks for sunset and wild goats!

I loved it all! There weren't any sharp knives when I was there, so I had to improvise (which was fine)! If you are precious about your car then be warned the track up to the site is pretty rough - but just take it slow cos it's worth it!
