What we needed

All good

It was a real pleasure to stay somewhere not only convenient in location. However the room was clean, people were quiet during sleep times. Then would connect in the morning over breakfast. Where you can even order a cooked meal. With free milk and cereal, toast etc.

Nothing

The room was private with a lockable door, television and air conditioner. There were plenty of pillows and the towels were large and fluffy. The owner was not intrusive and the options for breakfast were excellent.

The traffic sound fron nearby South Street was louder than expected but didn't interrupt my sleep.

Free breakfast is cereal, plain bread, jams (I placed an expired bottle of peanut butter next to the organic waste bin twice before the owner realised why I left it there), orange juice and milk. Coffee is the powder kind which you add to your hot water. If you want bacon/egg on toast poached or fried, you need to pay extra AUD10. Also have menus for AUD12.50 and AUD15, need to inform owner in advance. Room 1 which I was staying, is just immediately on the left of the entrance. It is big and comfortable with a walk-in closet and toilet which I appreciated. Many clothes hangers. As we drive, free car park was appreciated.

The common kitchen's cleanliness was very lacking and everything needed a good clean down, from the utensils to refrigerator door to the floor. As the rest of the house was carpeted except the kitchen, we did not wear shoes in the kitchen. Walking on the kitchen floor felt gross, I avoided stepping into the kitchen as far as possible. I am okay with it but note that Room 1 does not have any windows that can be opened for ventilation. The aircon was making noise which may be bothersome for light sleepers without ear plugs.
