Green Village Anuradhpura

We had such an amazing stay! Everything was perfect – the accommodation was comfortable and full of charm. The beds were large and incredibly comfortable, so we slept really well every night. What made this place truly special were the hosts. They are incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, and they made us feel like part of the family from the very first moment. The homemade Sri Lankan food was absolutely delicious – without a doubt some of the best we had during our entire trip! Every meal was freshly prepared with so much love, and it was a real highlight of our stay. Our host was also an outstanding guide in Anuradhapura. His knowledge, passion, and fascinating stories brought the ancient city to life and made our visit truly unforgettable. Another wonderful highlight was the beautiful river nearby, where we could enjoy a refreshing swim in a peaceful natural setting. We left with wonderful memories and are so grateful for everything. Thank you for your incredible hospitality! We would love to come back one day and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Sri Lankan experience, amazing food, wonderful hosts, and a perfect base for exploring Anuradhapura.

Wat een lieve, gastvrije mensen zijn het. 's Avonds heerlijk samen gekookt, nog nooit zo'n heerlijke smaakvolle curry gegeten en veel geleerd over de gemaakte gerechten. Prima Engels. Bijzonder om zo welkom te zijn bij een Srilankaans gezin.

Hier tref je een fantastisch vriendelijke host family. De kamer is ruim met airco. De host spreekt goed Engels (hij geeft ook les). We bezochten één van zijn klasjes en de kinderen daar stelden veel leuke vragen. Heel leuk. De gastvrouw kookt heerlijk (ontbijt, lunch, diner) en je mag ‘s avonds helpen met de bereiding. De host verzorgde ook de tour naar Anuradhapura, dat was fijn. Toen we een dokter nodig hadden gingen ze mee naar de lokale arts, en ‘s avonds bracht de host ons met de auto naar het ziekenhuis in de stad. Enorm lieve mensen dus! De oudste van de twee zoons spreekt ook goed Engels en is erg geïnteresseerd.
