Aquarelle Boutique Hotel

I honestly don't know where to begin, because everything about our stay at Aquarelle Boutique Hotel was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and that warmth never let up for a single minute of our stay. You can tell when a team actually cares about their guests versus just going through the motions, and this team clearly cares. The real highlight for me was how they helped me surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. I reached out ahead of time and asked if they could decorate our room and arrange a cake, and they went above and beyond to make it special. Everything was set up beautifully when we walked in, and the little touches made the moment feel so personal and thoughtful. My boyfriend was genuinely surprised and touched, and I'll always be grateful to the staff for helping me pull it off. They were patient with all my questions and requests, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them. The breakfast deserves its own paragraph, because it was amazing. There was a great variety of fresh options, everything tasted delicious, and it was the perfect way to start each morning before heading out. We looked forward to it every single day, and honestly it set the tone for the whole day. The swimming pool was another lovely part of the experience. It was such a relaxing spot to unwind, whether we wanted to cool off after being out and about or just chill and enjoy the atmosphere. It became our little go-to place to decompress, and we spent more time there than we expected to.

Location was good as it was away from most of the noisier areas. Breakfast was as well perfectly nice. Aircon was very good.

I did slip down the steps near the pool, as it was wet from the pool and there was no railing. The owner apologised, and was very helpful throughout the stay.

Este hermoso hotel boutique familiar, con solo 13 habitaciones diseñadas con muchísimo gusto, hizo que mis vacaciones fueran realmente inolvidables. Desde el momento en que llegué, Anni me recibió con una calidez increíble (quien me ayudó a organizar un traslado desde el aeropuerto). Junto con su mamá, Eva, crean un ambiente muy acogedor y relajado, donde uno se siente cómodo desde el primer instante. La habitación era preciosa, con un diseño único y llena de detalles. Todas las mañanas disfruté de un desayuno delicioso, y siempre estuvieron dispuestas a recomendarme lugares para conocer, restaurantes y actividades para aprovechar al máximo la estadía. También organizaron mi traslado al puerto de Durrës, haciendo que todo fuera muy fácil. Lo que hace especial a este hotel no son solo sus habitaciones, sino la hospitalidad genuina de Anni, Eva y todo el equipo. Se nota que disfrutan de lo que hacen y que realmente se preocupan por sus huéspedes. La única parte triste fue lo rápido que pasaron esos siete días. Ya estoy deseando volver. Muchísimas gracias, Anni, Eva y a todo el equipo por una estadía tan linda! Sin duda, volveré muy pronto.

This hotel is quite unique, and not necessarily in a good way. It is located very far from everything, high up on a hill, so getting there without a car is quite difficult. It feels like the property originally belonged to an investor who poured a lot of money into building a beautiful new hotel and then simply handed it over to a local family to manage. Out of the four people working at the hotel, two did not speak any English at all. The hotel does not offer laundry or ironing services. Also, don't expect a pool bar — there isn't one. The breakfasts are extremely basic and rather disappointing. As for housekeeping, when we checked in, there was a candy wrapper from someone's child lying under the refrigerator. It was still there when we checked out seven days later. On one occasion, we returned to our room and found that all the panoramic windows had been wiped with a dirty cloth, leaving visible smears everywhere. That said, I have no complaints about the room itself. The mattress was excellent, the bed was huge, the shower was great, the balcony was wonderful, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room is really big size

The hotel is very far from everything and located high up on a hill, making it difficult to reach on foot. The staff's English skills are very limited, with some employees not speaking English at all. The breakfasts are extremely basic and disappointing. Overall, the level of service is quite poor.
