The biggest scam in Bristol

Absolutely nothing. It's a scam, I didn't stay there because there was no access available and the key to let myself in was not in the box: the box was unlocked, without a key, and nobody came to let me in at check in time, which was 3 pm, although I phoned them 18 times and texted them three times during the hour and a half I was standing outside in the freezing cold. I thought I heard people inside at some point but no-one opened the door, although I knocked several times. I stayed outside waiting until nearly 4:30 pm, when I needed to go to my event, but had to carry my luggage and couldn't change or prepare for it. They charged me for a room I couldn't stay at. By 7:30 in the evening they hadn't replied to.my texts or messages and I had to book another hotel room, which cost me £122, lest I spent the night in the streets. This property is a scam and I want my money back. They also need to re-imburse me for the second hotel room I had to book.

The whole experience, from trying to book a room to trying to check in /get in the property was a nightmare. Firstly the booking page was letting you enter all your info to payment options, and the minute I pressed PayPal a notification came up saying: 'sorry but this booking is no longer available as someone has just booked it' ... Then they have another room available in the same house, but it's a bit more expensive, and you go through the process and they do the same thing with the notification... then there's a third room available, for £11 more than the first, and this one actually goes through and the booking is confirmed. But you go to your PayPal and emails and find they've actually charged you for two rooms and you have two bookings!! And it took me the whole afternoon and evening of Friday to sort that out, because they only answered their phone at 10 pm, blaming Booking.com for the booking problem. They agreed to return the fee for one room. And the following day they don't leave a key in the box, they don't answer their phone or texts and they leave you standing outside the front door until you get the message that YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED. They are not contactable because they do no want to answer their phone or texts. The messaging service in the booking page does NOT work. Basically they steal your money and leave you stranded in a strange city on a Saturday evening.

Overall this stay is the most uncomfortable in my travels around the U.K.

The fact that I saw bed linen, floor mats and other rugs being washed together is bad. The bed linen are very weak and the house was overcrowded and very noisy.

Great location, value and facilities but don't expect too much comfort or security.

There was a good kitchen with all the necessary utensils on offer. In addition they also had a washing machine and separate tumble dryer to use. The property was excellently sited with good access to the nearby city centre.

My room was small. It had a double bed but apart from that not much space. Also the bedside lamp only plugged in at the far end of the bed by the door and right next to the main light switch so you had to get out of bed to turn it off!?! Unfortunately the security at the rear of the property was questionable. There was a wooden fence and gate from the street into the back garden and it didn't have a lock so anyone could access it. Unfortunately some of the guests were reluctant to lock the rear patio doors and often left them open which would allow anyone easy access from the street right into the house. I voiced my displeasure to the property owner but nothing was done to improve the situation. Obviously the owner can't be liable for irresponsible guests but they should at least secure the gate into the garden.

Dirty and dangerous place

Self check in instructions were clear

The room stunk of smoke and vomit. Front door will not lock. Guests at room 3 tried to lock the door with their key too, no luck. It was more than alarming bearing in mind that the shared toilet is downstairs and we woke up in the morning to find people sleeping in a front room next to the toilet! Anyone can walk in, so dangerous. Needless to say we will not be staying there again. Avoid, avoid, avoid. It is scary and disturbing waking up to find people who just walked in at some point during the night and crashed in a living room.

Hell hole

The guests in room 1 who helped me.

Avoid this place. It is awful. My room smelt of smoke. There were suspicious stains on the bedding along with a sweaty smell. Clothes and food were left in the cupboards. The room had obviously not been cleaned. I only slept an hour because of alarms going off outside. No wifi. My biggest concern was the front door, as it wouldn't lock or close properly. I messaged the property and there was no response. I called and he was no help.

Pésimo, fatal y peor.

Poco o nada. La zona de cocina y salón quizás estaba bien, pero por lo demás deja mucho que desear.

No me gustó que no tenía espejo en el baño, pero lo peor de todo que no teníamos calefacción en nuestro cuarto y a pesar de haberle insistido al casero desde la primera noche que no teníamos, él no se ha molestado en arreglarnos la calefacción o al menos cambiarnos de habitación y eso que se lo dijimos, no se ha molestado en contestarme a casi ninguno de mis mensajes que le mandaba por whatssap. La estancia deja mucho que desear. No se lo recomiendo a nadie. Cuando vuelva sin duda me iré a otro lugar más en condiciones.

Nicht zumutbar!

Die Lage ist gut, man kann sein Auto relativ sicher vor dem Haus kostenfrei parken. Öpnv sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Das Zimmer hat Abmessung von 2,50x3,00m. Ein völlig durchgelegenes Bett mit 1.40 Breite. Ein beißender penetranter Geruch nach Schweiß ist im ganzen Zimmer. In der kleinen Kommode waren alte Kleidungsstücke bin anderen Gästen. Ein Mini Fenster ist völlig ohne Nutzen.
