It was difficult to find the address, but this was more due to lack of information on the Booking website, rather than Lilac Farm Cottage being unaccesible, as it is not. Great location actually.

It’s was close to Wetherby where I was spending time with friends and family
As I am allergic to animals I didn’t expect to go into my room and find cats sleeping on my bed, I found this very disrespectful. It wasn’t the cleanest of houses either

Disappointing
On the positive side, the owner was pleasant enough, and the provided bath towel and the bed sheets were clean. His cat was also lovely.
The bedroom I stayed in showed obvious signs of mould on the walls and felt damp, which was concerning. There were also noticeable cobwebs. This lack of maintenance extended to the shared bathroom next door, which had further signs of mould and a chunk missing from the plastic side panel of the bath. A hand towel was not provided in the bathroom. The shared kitchen was also not as clean as I would expect for guest accommodation. While I was directed to breakfast items (cereal and bread), the overall presentation lacked the practical niceties and finesse required for a comfortable guest experience. My impression was that letting the room was simply a means to an end, rather than an interest in hospitality.

Nothing very unclean place, difficult to locate as well
Place was very dirty, pictures on website did not represent the actual state of the accommodation. Door for bedroom did not lock had to sleep with bed barricading the door.

A complete waste of money. Do not stay there.

Having to share a bathroom with three other people. A bedroom door that didn’t even have a latch to keep it closed nor did it have a lock to secure it while I was out. I refused to stay and left without unpacking anything.

You are staying in the house with the owner onsite which wasn't clear on booking.com. This wasn't an issue as he's a very friendly host. However, some people may prefer the accommodation to themselves.
