Sterling gem of a place to stay with a wonderful host
Beautiful little place - just was wonderful, fabulous facilities, comfy space, great location central to the village, good access to local places of interest, village is fabulous with bakery, butchers and pubs, parking available and super dog friendly!

Although Georgina was friendly and helpful, the actual property didn't appeal to us.
Georgina the host was very friendly and helpful. The parking location was handy and very affordable. The village itself was an ideal location for us to explore Yorkshire for the week.
We felt the photo images of inside the property were deceptive. The downstairs was part of a very small shop, closed when guests staying obviously. The space was too cramped for us and if the weather were to be bad, it wouldn't have been enjoyable to stay inside and relax with a book. The comms between ourselves and Sykes/Booking.com was not good.

Quirky but quaint and lovely
Wonderful host, Georgina, made us feel at ease immediately, a lovely surprise welcome pack, with lots of goodies. So peaceful, slept really well. Lovely shower, great TV, everything you needed was there and so simple to operate. We had the run of the little shop also. We felt very secure while there. Easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants, all within walking distance. We shall definitely be staying again.
That we didn't stay longer!

Stay here if you want to stay in what I believe is a Grade II listed property.
We had a lovely 4 day break in Borougbridge, explored the local area for a couple of days and visited family. The property was described as quirky and bijou which it lived up to. The host made us welcome and provided Tea, Coffee, Milk and cream cakes on arrival, there was also a fruit bowl. It was a nice touch to give us a cyclamen gift to take away. There were lots of little heaters to keep the place warm & toasty. All I would say is that it would be difficult to cook a meal in the kitchen area as very basic, saying that there are some lovely pubs and coffee shops to visit - which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely visit the Boroughbridge area again. North Yorkshire is a beautiful place.
The kitchen was very basic which was fine for us but not if you wanted to properly self cater. If I'm being really picky the shower could have done with a bit more pressure, but the water was lovely and hot.

Superb
Very cosy little room with a comfortable bed, nice decor, in a walking distance from the shops, in a pretty quiet street. Great for a single traveller or a couple.

Great location, lovely host
Georgina is a lovely host, met us with keys and gave a brief introduction to the area. Fantastic location. Free parking nearby and close to shops. Pubs within walking distance for evening meals or breakfast. Easy road access to main routes to York, Ripon and lots to see and do in the area. Tourist Information 2 doors away.
Nothing negative
