The location was perfect, even to Uber into city center was very inexpensive and we ended up walking back no problem in the evening.
It is a very, very creaky 2nd floor and was told early on to keep the children’s noise level down due to elderly couple downstairs but then felt like it was walking on eggshells. Would not recommend for families with any young rambunctious kids at all. Plus you could hear their phone ringing and ringing early each morning. The doors will shut hard on you also if you’re not prepared. Supplied very basic items and no coffee or tea or anything like that. Just some shampoo/body wash that’s it.

Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Wir haben Edinburgh zu Fuss erkundet. Es fehlt uns an nichts. Die Küche haben wir nicht gebraucht, ausser dem Toaster.
Als wir den Toaster betätigten, gibg der Feueralarm los. Beim 2. Mal toasteten wir gleich neben dem Fenster und waren der Meinung dieser Abstand zum Feueralerm im Gang reiche, aber falsch, wieder ging der Alarm los.
Das 2.Problem war das warme Wasser. Die Dusche am ersten Abend mussten wir mit sehr kaltem Wasser "geniessen". So fanden wir den Boiler mit Beschreibung. Also drückten wir den roten Knopf, hatten am Morgen dann warmes Wasser, welches aber für die abendliche Dusche bereits wieder abgekaltet hatte.

Everything was good except a few things .The floor was creaky and there is no tumble dryer (so people should be prepared )Also there was no coffee & sugar as well .All the apartments & cottages we stayed in Scotland had both .That said, its a very good place to stay .Tram stop is about 10 mts walk from the house.
I would have liked that the house should have stock of coffee and sugar .
