Milton Cottage

A large house in a great location with fantastic amenities and lots of space! We'd love to come back!

The kitchen countertops were a little sticky, but otherwise everything was clean.

Breakfast n/a. Location excellent facilities fine, and worked out very well for our party.

Communications non-existent. We asked for clarification on coat and high chairs, but emails went un-answered. After much difficulty finally managed to get through on phone, but were given incorrect information. Couldn't use the on-line service as they said our booking was with Booking.com not with Sykes Cottages. In fact the Sykes Cottages link said our booking did not exist. Likewise request for parking information never answered.

Great location 5 mins walk from the beach/town The house was clean and had what we needed for a weekend stay. The rooms were good sizes and having a little yard outside was helpful for drying towels/swim gear/ paddleboards

The sofa and master bed mattress both need changing as soon as possible. The bed was so uncomfortable, the mattress had no firmness to it and we could feel the springs through it. We had to have one of us sleep on one of the single beds in the twin room. The sofa was so old that the cushions have no substance and would slide off as you were sitting down. Also, the curtains in the bedrooms were very thin so let in a lot of light- not great for kids or adults! We had to fix up some extra blackouts in both rooms The tv was tiny and has no ability to watch netflix/iplayer etc which isn't ideal when away for longer than a couple of days- was fine for just the weekend and we were lucky we had good weather so didn't need to be in the house much
