The cottage was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was great with good pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils and crockery we needed for self-catering, and a few games were provided too, which was a nice touch for the evenings. The location was good, only a 5-10 minute walk to shops and the beach (depending on walking speed), and not too far from Charmouth car park. The host was great at communicating and answered questions very quickly, providing information for loading and unloading the car.
The lack of access to a washing machine, which is always useful for a family holiday.

The location was perfect, just 5 minutes from the beach, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and everything you could need. We loved the comfy beds, and thoughtful touches like teabags, ground coffee for the cafetière, milk, hand wash and dish washer tablets. Duvets and towels were all good quality. Long term parking was just a 4 minute walk away and cost £9/day (Aug 2026) and seemed safe to leave overnight but you did have to put a new ticket on each day.
It only has one family bathroom and an outdoor loo with small sink (not big enough to wash in). For five adults this was unexpected as booking.com lists the property as having two bathrooms. We would also like to have a recycling bin in the kitchen, hand wash in the outdoor loo and clearer instructions about the bins - where to empty them and find extra bags. Also there is a miscommunication regarding a barbecue in the garden…in one part of booking.com it lists this and another part a fire pit.

Lovely 3 bed cottage located a short walk to the seafront and shops. Having a garden is a bonus. Can park just up the hill in Charmouth Rd car park. We visit Lyme Regis regularly and would stay here again.
