Fantastic location, charming and comfortable house.

Amazing location, quirky house, full of character and charm. Very comfortable.

No double glazing so if sleeping in front bedrooms it’s very noisy with traffic early in the morning.

The location is EXCELLENT for the centre of Lyme - but the road is noisy until quite late in the evening and on the first couple of nights we were aware of loud music from pubs or clubs nearby.

Ideal accommodation for a weekend with friends but should be cleaner

Great location, comfy beds and ideal for the weekend with friends. Noise wasn’t an issue as per some of the previous reviews. The welcome basket on arrival was really nice and useful.

It wasn’t as clean as you would expect it to be e.g fresh linen on my bed had dog hairs on it, the en suite shower had hair on the floor and looked like it hadn’t been hoovered and the floors were dusty.

Lovely stay in a beautiful place

Very well equipped and clean. Fantastic location very near beach and high street.

We live in the countryside so road noise sounded louder to us than it actually was- it’s only a very small road so don’t be put off. Only those sensitive to noise would be bothered. Beware of buses and other traffic as you exit and enter the property if you have small children. It is safe but take care to watch them as they come around the bend in the road. The fantastic location makes these compromises worthwhile.

The property is quirky but comfortable and its location was excellent. I would definitely recommend the property for anyone looking to be in the centre of Lyme.

Superb

This perfect little house was right by the coast, by all of the restaurants, shops and museum. So convenient. The decor and furnishing, including the bathrooms were immaculate and stylish. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could need. The little yard with outdoor seating would have been perfect in the sunnier months. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the Lyme Bay Holidays always service everything so beautifully with crisp linen, fluffy towels and a lovely welcome pack. It was a very comfortable house to stay in.

We had a couple of door handles break etc, due to inadequate fixings but with a quick phone call was well dealt with and wasn't an issue for us so we chose for them to be fixed after we'd left. The only thing to bear in mind is that it is perfectly situated for you when staying but is a challenge to drop off and pick up at each end of the stay as the house is right in the middle of the two sets of traffic lights. We were in couples and so did a relay situation to the car with our luggage. There is the opportunity to loiter in the next street, but barely. It didn't cause us any issues but would definitely be worth considering if any guests were to turn up as the only adult with small children, dogs and luggage. The heating was very efficient - VERY efficient if you are on the top floor with the heat rising. For a house that sleeps 8, more than one parking permit would have been welcome.

charming & cosy with so much to enjoy

so much character, it’s delightful, cosy & beautifully decorated

the large plates are too big for the dishwasher so all the glasses were dirty from the top 1/2 of the dishwasher!
