Heart of Somerton House

Lovely setting, very close to town centre, charming place.

Property was lovely area to stay right in the centre of the town of Somerton, with a local supermarket (co-op) , it has a variety of food places to eat and It was only 20 minutes away into Glastonbury and the Clarkes Village so quite Central. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was okay apart from poor water pressure, television was very good with Netflix etc. They had a downstairs toilet but was like a closet very tiny, but it served its purpose instead of going upstairs for the two days we were staying there.

There were no doors on the living room, the kitchen or the upstairs bedroom on the top floor, which made it quite draughty, and if your like me I would of liked a door on my bedroom to close to feel secure in my bedroom as it’s quite unsettling without one on and I’ve never slept in a bedroom with no door on so I did not sleep on the 1st night.. 😔 They had no microwave which I know was mentioned in previous reviews last year, but I would’ve of assumed this would have been rectified since last year but it has not unfortunately, as I know usually every B&B usually has one. They had no cutlery tray in the drawer, to put the cutlery into and was just to left inside a drawer. Could have done with some cushions on the couch for back support , in the end we just brought down the cushions and pillows from the bedroom so all good. We appreciated all the mirrors in the house unfortunately there was none on the wall or in the top bedroom apart from one on the landing, which I know again has been mentioned in the reviews which would have been very much appreciated, instead of having to sit at the top of the stairs in front of the large mirror to put my make-up on. This would be a nice apartment to come back to if the reviews comments were taken into consideration and changed a little then I would come back as it’s close to places I do like to visit down here. I don’t wish to offend in any way, but hopefully these things will be addressed and I would look forward to returning to stay again.

Lovely house in the centre of Somerton with its own parking place. Very clean with everything you could want and exceptionally warm.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
