Inner cottage

A fabulously comfortable and peaceful place to stay. The cottage has everything you need and the hosts are incredibly helpful. The personal touches of milk, tea and biscuits were much appreciated. We had the most relaxing time and wouldn't hesitate to return. An absolute pleasure. Loved the cows, too!

The property was truly amazing, offering a spacious layout that felt both welcoming and functional. The kitchen was a particular highlight—well-equipped and perfect for a group—while the backyard provided a fantastic space for outdoor games. Inside, the inclusion of DVDs for the kids was a thoughtful touch that kept them entertained. We were also impressed by the Starlink internet, which provided remarkably fast and reliable speeds throughout our stay. The house was impeccably clean, and the provision of fresh towels and ample parking space made the logistics effortless. The location itself is wonderful; nestled in a quiet area right next to peaceful farmland, it offered a perfect, serene escape. We were also very happy with the overall location, as a Tesco is just a convenient five-minute drive away. Beyond that, the property is perfectly positioned for reaching the beaches and coastline, making it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding local areas.

The summer heat created a challenging environment, particularly as the rising nighttime temperatures brought an influx of insects that made opening windows impossible. Without built-in ventilation, window screens, or fans, getting a restful night’s sleep became quite difficult for both the children and the adults. While the first night was manageable, the subsequent increase in heat made the lack of airflow a significant issue. ​I realize there was a slight delay in communication on my end, as I didn't reach out until after the second night. I also inadvertently used the contact number listed on Booking.com rather than the specific one noted at the entrance, which may have slowed the response. That said, based on how quickly the hosts resolved a previous issue with the shower, I have no doubt they would have been just as attentive here had we connected sooner. Providing portable fans or window nets would be a fantastic improvement for future guests during the summer months to ensure the house remains comfortable when the heat picks up.

WiFi signal was sometimes bad for us but this didn’t really impact our trip, just something we noticed.
