Orchard View Yurt & Hot Tub Somerset

Very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. Went out their way to make our stay perfect. Particularly liked being able to see the animals, lambs, Rheas, Geese and the chickens. There were many places to visit locally, either a 10min walk or a 10min drive. If you needed any help someone was always there to assist.

Such a lovely place has everything you could possibly need ! The place was spotless and the lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Close to a pub and Chinese which I would highly recommend can’t wait to stay again.

Location was a lovely setting and a great view, would have preferred if more spaced out to get more of a secluded space as could hear people staying next to us one of the nights until early hours. Hot tub was relaxing and well needed. Staff were informative, offered to help ourselves to any fruit on the land which was kind. Provided plenty of fire wood for fire pit. Facilities were good and handy and complimentary coffee tea sugar and milk. Weather was not the best but could not be helped but have a lovely break for a few days. Would of been nice for some complimentary homemade goods as from previous stays at different places it was a really nice touch. Provided with hot tub robes and towels which was handy. Bed was comfy to sleep in. Helping with the golf cart to take us to the yurt but no help when checking out. Overall a lovely stay and list of local places to eat on a board in the yurt.

Due to it being a Yurt/tent felt damp when waking up even though humidifiers were on. But are provided with 2 heaters also. Skylight could be cleaned so you can look at the stars in bed as had dirt moss on. Throw on bed smelt like wet dog so really should be washed after each stay personally as did put us off and there were dog hairs on the bed from this. Maybe a suggestion for a hand book or welcome leaflet to inform you how to use things in the yurt and what is also around the areas, like local walks, shops etc maybe, would be handy and there was no information on how to check out also had to message to ask about this. Staff informed us of some walks by talking to us but can easily be forgotten. Frying pan and forks need changing/ updating in the yurt as frying pan warped and kept burning at the bottom and there were only 2 forks but one was really curled and strange to eat with. Maybe a suggestion of a tray or something along the lines to cook on, on the fire pit instead of the rack provided and utensils as some had rust on them. Due to being kept outside which is understandable.
