Great dog friendly cottage and very close to a lovely dog walking beach.

A really cute farm building, converted into a dog friendly cottage. There was everything we needed and more for a short stay. We chose it because we needed to take the dog and wanted to be close to this area for visiting family and friends. We found tea, coffee and biscuits and also cooking oil and salt and pepper. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole cottage was very clean. There was a small log burner but we did not need it as the heaters were very efficient. The fenced off area was good for our dog but an escape artist dog, might take advantage of gaps through the brambles.

Personal preference (bigger bed). Next time I would check if the other cottages on site had a king sized bed.

Great, apart from lack of walking opportunities.

Loved the peace and quiet. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and ideal for me and the dogs.

I didn't realise the cottage was not within walking distance of Sandbay beach. Not really situated to enable me to walk to places with the dogs. However, I did walk to Worle.

Great location for local beeches and walks with our dog but also for exploring further with Glastonbury Tor, Bath, Shaftsbury etc only an hour or two away.

Ideal location, ideal small cottage at anytime of year.

Ideal location in this very well equipped 2 person cottage. Plenty of room for us and the Labrador. Enclosed garden and off-lead walks straight off the driveway.

The Sand bay - Kewstoke road at the end of the drive could get a bit busy in rush hour but nothing a sensible walker couldn't handle.

Lovely cottage, nice walks nearby, only 1 mile from the beach at sand bay which we walked to daily.

Everything was provided for cleaning, even washing powder and fabric conditioner. Dog treats, dog bowl and poo bags were also provided. Cottage was immaculately clean with no issues at all with the property. I would recommend staying here, we had brilliant weather whilst we were there so of course this always adds to the fulfilment of the holiday. Host was very quick in getting back to us if any queries, we wanted to stay an extra night but cottage had already been booked out.

Nothing to do with the cottage but there were no pavements to walk on when walking to the beach, the roads were very busy with cars, so extreme caution needed to be taken. We did use the public footpaths where we could so this took some of the walking on the roads off the journey.

It was a brilliant stay in a very cosy cottage in a lovely location. I will definitely rebook in the future.

Clean, bright, comfortable, homely

I wish the fence had sheep wire all the way round the property. My dog is a bit of an escape artist and the back fence (against the hedge) was a bit open as the hedge been cut.

Prefect weekend break

Absolutely perfect location for us, near our favourite dog friendly beach. We would usually drive down for the day but decided we wanted a weekend break and the cottage was perfect. We loved the little welcome box and it was very cosy, especially when we got the log burner going.

The only thing was the gate doesn't have mesh on so the dogs could get out easily (bichon and a bichon X poodle).
