Dragonfly Stays at Lower Lakes

The location was stunning and the lodge was all you could wish for.

A lovely tranquil location by a lake. The bed was very comfortable & the lodge was lovely & well equipped.

The Wi-Fi was very poor & could not be used in the bedroom which affected the tv in the bedroom it also kept dropping out in the living area.

The first thing that I notice was how clean it was. The 2 bedrooms are a good size with the main bedroom having a ceiling fan which with the weather was a saving grace. Its compact but has everything you need. The view from the patio was amazing, it was lovely having a morning coffee ☕️ in the sun, surrounded by peace and beauty a fantastic start to a day. We did not walk around the lake as was not sure if this was allowed as they have residents so was worried we would be on someone private land. It was very peaceful considering we weren't to far away from village or town. We were only here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfy. It did get warm in cottage as sun was continuously on us but we closed the curtains in the day which helped and then once in opening all the windows and had a lovely brezze going though. Really liked the electronic door security, no worrying about a key. Plenty of parking as we had 3 cars and got them on driveway.

The kitchen sink stunk of sewage when we ran the taps(only in the kitchen this didnt happen in bathroom), dont get me wrong it wasn't run out the house bad but it was only when we ran the kitchen taps so dont know if there is a blockage but something the owners could sort out easily (and to be fair i didnt call them so this would be the first they know about it). The bathroom could probably do with a little TLC as it is looking a bit worn out but it did what it needed to do and actually a really nice size, plenty of room. Also as lovely as the outside space was there was no fence so your dog or children would not know your boundary and could just walk off. So with a dog you would have to go out with them on the lead. Also silly little thing but as lovley as bed was in main bedroom I could not use the plug socket as bed blocking it, not sure if it could be moved slightly 🤔
