1. Dirty 2.empty bottles of washing liquid, soap or bleach. 3.advertised washing machine etc, no facilities available like that, broken cutlery, 1 cup for two people. 4. The smell of smoke was really strong 5. Unresponsive host towards questions why we left room locked and we found it opened….

Ok but disappointed

The host was responsive when I tried to check-in

Very difficult to check in (the door code did not work), no towels (so that I had to visit a different room to take them), no lighting and wifi in the morning (messaged the host but no reply), the bathroom could be cleaner

AWFUL mattress can feel every slat and rail on the bed don’t waste your money unless you can function on no sleep

Kitchen area was good only thing that let it down was we only had 1 cup for 2 people

The mattress on the bed was AWFUL you would have a better night sleep on a park bench and the pillows were as flat as pancakes I don’t understand why you would have somewhere with such good facility’s and buy such a cheap mattress

Overall lovely just a few details short of a better experience.

I really liked the location of this property, very easy to get into Earlsdon and coventry and located near alvis retail park. The room itself was very lovely, very pleasantly surprised at the thought that went into stocking the kitchen especially. I was able to cook the whole week as there was even spray oil, foil paper, salt, sugar, pepper and pots and pans. fully functioning oven, kettle and hob. This made things much easier and very convenient, although the pan was poor quality and did not seem to be suited for induction it worked well enough! I was pleased with the price for my stay especially given the spacious size of the room. The bed was also quite comfortable. Didn't really utilise but the option of a washing machine and drying rack was nice! fully equipped home away from home.

I tried to contact the host the night before arriving and she stated she would give me information on the day about checking in. She did not and was very dismissive about providing instructions when i prompted stating that it had all been messaged to me on booking.com . I do not have the booking.com app and i downloaded this just to check for these messages but I did not see them in my email, the booking.com confirmation screen or on the app. She is likely right that it was sent to me somewhere and admittedly my technological skills are lacking but I still believe as a host it does not hurt to make the check in process as easy as possible especially when many people will not have the app, and the check in was not a self-evident process. I must however commend that message replies where relatively quick. The room had a weird musty smell on entry which we tried to solve by opening windows and buying a scented candle but it would not go away, not horrible, just a bit wet and damp. Now that I am home, everything from my luggage has the same smell. Finally, the bathroom sink is much too small to do anything with at all, and the shower is extremely difficult to adjust and does not go much past a lukewarm temperature.

Worst ever!!! Refund my money.

The main thing is I couldn’t get into my room. The owners wouldn’t answer calls or emails and when they did answer many hours later they said ‘the door code does work .. turn it the other way’. By that time I’d been in another hotel for four hours. I have opened many code locked doors in my time and I tried it in every conceivable way but it didn’t work. If the owners wish to be in hospitality they should be accessible and answer legitimate questions. I WANT MY MONEY BACK AS I GOT NOTHING FOR IT AND NO HELP AT ALL.

Comfortable and safe but too many insects

I liked how comfortable the beds were and how there was good heating.

I didn’t like the amount of insects that kept coming inside the room at the window even though the window was closed. There were a lot of insects and some even appeared on my bed at one point. I had to buy insecticide to spray the place everyday.
