I received a very friendly reception from the owners, they were so accommodating. I was basically being invited to stay in their home, above the pub, and was able to use their personal facilities for making drinks and basic meals if I wanted. The room was spacious and comfortable whilst being simple. I liked the small touches they had added.
The Stag and Hen is literally 5 minutes walk from the centre of Coventry in one direction and 5 minutes to the Canal Basin in the other. A good reasonable car park is across the road.
There wasn't anything to dislike.
