Vue incroyable Loire et Chateau

Where to start? The property was on the top floor of a 4-story building overlooking the Loire River. The view *was* incredible and so serene. We watched hot air balloons pass close by our “front”window. “Front” in quotes because the “back” windows looked onto the Chateau Royal Amboise. How much better can you get? It is a 2-story unit with a double bed on the main floor and one in the loft. We stayed on the main floor in a very comfortable bed. There is a nice sitting area in the loft, separate from the bedroom, but we had such a nice view from the main floor we did not need to go up there - except to open the windows on both floors for excellent ventilation (more on A/C below). The whole 4-story building is old but when you walk into the 4th floor, you feel like it is new this year. The white walls with the exposed timbers make the place airy and bright while letting you know you are in a historic building. We opened the windows immediately when we arrived because the weather was right and it was so quiet outside. All appliances, including A/C, refrigerator, oven, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and washing machine were brand new. We had plenty of restaurant food in our extended trip before Amboise so we really appreciated buying local fresh fruits and vegetables and preparing them in this very well-appointed kitchen. All of the cooking tools and utensils you need are there. The neat and tidy should know that everything you could possibly want for cleaning, wiping, and drying is here. The hot water is awesome. It’s nice for taking a shower too. Pierre and Arthur were within immediate direct message contact but we never needed more than that. Case in point: I made a rookie mistake with the lockbox and it shut down from too many attempts. I DM’d Pierre while standing outside the door, and he opened the lockbox remotely - voilà! Because of Pierre and Arthur’s hospitality - but also that incredible view!, this is one of the best places we have stayed.

Guests should be warned there is no elevator. You must carry your luggage up 4 flights of stairs.

The hosts were very attentive and available. They provided us with very clear instructions on how to enter the building (including a short video) and how to get the keys to enter the apartment, it was very easy. They gave us a Welcome Booklet with instructions on how to use the appliances at the apartment and it was very helpful, as well as suggestions on what to visit in Amboise and the region. The apartment is great, recently renovated so everything is new and beautiful; they provided the baby crib and baby chair, well equiped kitchen, towels provided as well. My family and I were very comfortable and satisfied. Finally, the location is amazing, right next to good restaurants, market, and the Chateau d'Amboise. Super! We highly recommend it!

It was not a problem to us, but it's worth mentioning that the apartment is located on the third floor with no elevator.

The location was spectacular! Perfect for our needs. We walked everywhere in the town and got to explore.
