Fantastic Stay

Excellent all around! Location, Cleanliness, Comfort & Host! Having a place to park smack dab in the center was invaluable. The beds & bedding were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for those that cook. There is an a/c unit in the living room, but we did not use it. Good to know that it’s available for warmer months. We look forward to returning in the very near future. One small suggestion. A full length mirror somewhere would be great!

Coeur of Amboise🩵

Caroline🩵 the landlady was more than perfect!! she was so friendly and so careful that we didnt need to worry about anything.. The garden in front of the house is just perfect! We will visit again in Spring to enjoy more of this lovely place.. Car park is fantastic - especially when you stay in the heart of a town..

Lovely accomodation in Amboise

We have spent one week in Amboise, staying at Les Charmilles. It was the perfect location for me and my family to discover the Loire Valley and I can tell you that Caroline was the most gravious host. The apartment with its two bedrooms was perfect for our family and the terrace is ideal for enjoying meals or a late evening wine. Les Charmilles is literally walking distance from anything in Amboise and really quiet. Loved any minute of it.

Wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a week. Loved the privacy and outdoor area, a real plus. An excellent quiet city location with secure parking, which enabled us to walk to everywhere. Caroline gave us a warm welcome and gave lots of useful information for visits, restaurants etc and was on hand if needed. Wonderful amenities and being able to access a film on Netflix on an evening in was a bonus. Well equipped, making stay so easy and pleasant. Loved every minute and hope to stay again.

No dislikes - but if pushed could only suggest perhaps leaving instruction manuals for electric items being made available in the apartment for oven/dishwasher etc.

Great apartment in a historic town.. you should go

Great location in Loire valley. Beautiful town with a market twice a week. The apartment was small and perfect for four of us. It was in the grounds of a large family home with great parking, it was leafy and private. Caroline is the home owner and she is warm, friendly and helpful. We could travel to many Chateau’s in less than an hour!

The property was very quaint and lovely. Caroline made sure everything one might need was there. It was walking distance to the Chateau, restaurants and shops.

Would rebook without hesitation

Perfect stay in amboise. Fantastic location just minutes walking from everything important. Apt was high quality finishings and very comfortable. The host gave us a warm welcome and tips for the area. It was super comfortable to do laundry, cook, relax and enjoy the spacious flat and great garden. The only thing is if you have a wide and high car there are two pillars next to the entrance gate that the car could scrape coming in so just be careful when entering and exiting the gate.

Great location with free parking within easy walk of centre and chateau. Outside space to relax in, very peaceful. Well equipped apartment with air conditioning which was needed due to the hot weather. Caroline the host was friendly and informative.

A peaceful oasis in a beautiful town.

Les Charmilles is a delightful property in the middle of Amboise. It is within easy reach of the town, a supermarket, an amazing fruit shop and a boulangerie. It is within walking distance of the Loire, three stunning chateaux and it has a beautiful garden. Caroline and her family offered us a great welcome.

We loved everything. From the moment we arrived till the day we left, we all said, what a gem of a place. Great hosts with great accommodation so close to the centre with private parking and a huge garden area.

Perfect location, lovely host and a beautifully kept and well equipped cottage.

The property was spotlessly clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Modern and elegant decor with splashes of colour and charm. Fabulous location right in the middle of Amboise yet with parking and a large, pretty garden. Caroline was super friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more.

Adorable and friendly

such a lovely host. Caroline met us with a big smile and explained everything in English for us foreigners. she even hid some chocolate for the kids on Easter, offered for them to play with her kids and the bikes and table tennis. the place is right in the centre, but walled away into a peaceful garden and quiet. cute cottage perfect for our family. we loved it. clean, comfortable and safe.

we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. the shower was annoying with no door water splashes everywhere. and the stairs are a little tricky for those less mobile and to get suitcases up. kitchen was fine. but not an amazing range of utensils. but who wants to home cook in France!! we managed our meals just fine. the biggest difficulty for us was Amboise skinny roads, staying in the centre means driving through tight spaces.

Delightful host and cute property with small courtyard and garden

Fantastic location. Nice garden and parking area inside a locked gate. The apartment was cute, but has some areas to climb steps and others spots to duck. Host was delightful. Onsite washer and drying racks were helpful.

We were a little unclear on when/how to meet our host. Turns out she lives onsite which made it quite easy. Wish that had been stated.

A delightful apartment in wonderful, secure surroundings right in the heart of pretty town.

Lovely gite/apartment in very nice grounds of an old traditional villa. Good outside furniture and very secure parking.

One or two extra kitchen utensils would have been useful: colander; sieve; mixing bowl. Bedside tables for personal convenience. Towels kept falling off the wooden knobs on the bathroom door.

Fabulous, pretty house in perfect location

A perfect holiday house. Pretty, perfectly situations (two minutes from a deli and three from a bakery, both with gorgeous food), quiet, and with a lovely outdoor eating area. The hosts were also fabulous, helpful and kind. My only tiny criticism was that the staircase to get up to the apartment is a little narrow and slippery but we managed it fine and it didn't take away at all from our holiday! Superb.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Quiet, clean and comfortable refuge in the middle of Amboise. Fully equipped with everything one needs for a longer stay. There are even bikes and a washing machine/dishwasher that can be used.
