Stunning place to stay with amazing view

Fabulous place to stay, a very clever and sympathetic build. Lovely friendly welcome. We really enjoyed learning about the history. All the amenities you could wish for and a few minutes walk into the beautiful town of Amboise. We will miss the stunning view, you really can't get better!

Magnificent.

Franc was amazing! He even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off when we left. He went above and beyond - wine from the region to make our stay more comfortable, even ripe apricots from his own tree! He was warm and kind and made us feel most welcome. We would not hesitate to stay again.

A great host and good location but sadly not a comfortable apartment.

Franck, the host, is really super and was great in that he both collected us from the train station and then drove us back to the station when we left. He gave us advice on restaurants - all of which were excellent. The location of the property is good and within easy walking distance of everything. The view from the main room is superb. The property was very clean.

Sadly though , we did not find the apartment comfortable. In the main room (on the middle floor) besides some hard dining chairs , there is one "settee" - although I think it is a single bed and was not at all comfy to sit on. So it was difficult to relax at the end of the day. Also particularly disappointing were the beds and bed "areas" ( it is all open plan , so no actual bedrooms or privacy). I slept on the top floor and the small double was really hard and difficult to sleep on. Also because it really is the attic and therefore has very sloping ceilings, I could barely stand up straight. So it was difficult to dress etc. Furthermore the metal stairs have some imprint on them , so going up and down in bare feet or socks caused a lot of pain. The other bed area with the small twin beds , is on the ground floor as one enters the property. This is a windowless , rather damp and dark area and I understood from my friend that the bed was not that comfortable. There is only one "bathroom" (although there was a second toilet) which is on the ground floor - but it only contains a hand-held shower (with toilet and basin) - so not easy to wash oneself. And also the bathroom is difficult for the person sleeping in the attic area to access.

Exceptional

The weather was a bit chilly and rainy on our trip, but the beauty of staying here is that you can soak up the charm of Amboise from the comfort of your kitchen--the view is just spectacular! The house is comfortable and we had plenty of space; laundry facilities were definitely a plus! The host is wonderful, warm and welcoming. We hope to return!

A wonderful place to connect with the real Amboise!

Leonardo's point of view was a very special place for our family and we have fond memories from our stay here... wonderful and most accommodating hosts, beautiful location in the heart of historic Amboise, walk to farmers market and everywhere in Amboise... looking forward to the next visit!

Great accomodation

The property is very well set-up and the owners have paid great attention to detail. From an introduction to the history and points of interest nearby, to providing detergents, ironing boards, and an outdoor space, we could not have asked for more. There’s plenty of space for a family of 5, and Franck was on hand if we needed anything.

The internal stairs are a little steep, but we got used to them.

When we come back to France we will most definitely stay here for a longer period of time.

Everything was exceptional beginning with the host who greeted us with a warm and friendly manner. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Even so far as to take us to the clockmaker in town for a private tour of his shop. The view is magnificent and as we were halfway to our next place we actually thought about turning back and asking if we could stay for another week!

There wasn't anything not to like. Everything was perfect. The neighbors were friendly, the stores and restaurants are very close and Amboise is the best town to stay in to see the Loire Valley.
