City Pop 2Night Zürich City - Self check-in

Very good to stay walkable to metro & bus

I booked through Agoda 2 months before my stay. No email correspondence was ever received before my checkin date. When I arrived at the hotel Kiosk at 14:30 and tried checking in with my name/ booking ref/ phone but they all failed. I called customer service at the entrance and received a link to do checkin. I need to fill in a lot information of both myself and my travel companion, and even uploading passport photos! I couldn’t even load the page with my phone and had to use my laptop to do all that, under the hot sun in the street of Zurich! Finally, information about my booking, the password and room number were received at 15:16, 15mins passed the checkin time! I would not come earlier if the checkin information was sent at least one day before, and I could have input information comfortable with a desk and chair! The hotel itself was clean and nice, but the first impression was just disappointingly poor!

An amazing place, however, self check in system needs to be proactive. We had to literally stand outside building to check in as email.wasnt shared earlier due to some technical issue between hotel and Agoda perhaps. But worth staying and near ti every place

We stayed for two nights at City Pop 2Night Zurich and booked two Double Comfort Rooms for our family wuth two teenagers. Overall, it was an excellent value-for-money stay in the heart of Zurich and we would happily stay here again. The property is very conveniently located near Zürich HB (main station), making it an ideal base for exploring the city or catching onward trains. Despite visiting during a heat wave, we did not feel uncomfortable in the rooms. The air conditioning could have been a little stronger, but it was still adequate for a comfortable stay. The rooms were well equipped with many useful amenities including a refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle and other essentials that made the stay very convenient. The hot water in the shower was particularly enjoyable after a long day of sightseeing. There are also useful shops nearby such as Coop and Migros for groceries and snacks. The self-check-in process requires some preparation. It is advisable to complete online check-in at least 3–4 days before arrival, including uploading passport photographs and providing credit card details. After payment confirmation, the access code is sent by email. The same code conveniently works for the main entrance, lift, stair access and the room itself. There were a few minor hiccups during entry and access initially, and the area can be somewhat noisy on weekends due to its central location. Another point to note is that there is no direct WhatsApp contact number for support. Communication is mainly through their system once they initiate contact, although assistance was always available, albeit with a slight delay compared with a traditional hotel reception. A final tip for international travellers: bring a universal power adapter, as it will make charging multiple devices much easier. Overall, City Pop 2Night offers an excellent combination of location, convenience and value for money in central Zurich. PS : tried to upload photos on the app but failed everytime
