We loved our stay at The Garden Room. Our hosts were great. Two lovely people. The welcoming drinks and nibbles were a great touch. It was excellently presented, spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a short stay. It is in a quiet location and just a short walk into town. A perfect place for couples. A great place to stay.

Beautifully decorated and Peaceful

The Garden Room was beautifully decorated with lovely decor, immaculately clean, and I had everything I needed. The hosts were lovely and friendly. I would absolutely stay again and recommend it to friends and family. I had a great night sleep and was very comfortable. It is an easy walk to M&S. The garden location is beautiful with a nice outdoor space in the sun.

Wonderful accommodation in a great location.

Dawn was a vey welcoming host. Although I had been given a key code, Dawn was there to open the door for me. Off-street parking was a bonus. The accommodation was beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen area was very well equipped. The shower was great and the toiletries were lovely. The bed was very comfortable. It was great to have an outdoor seating area to relax in. It was easy to walk into Penrith from the property, but it was very peaceful there. I've stayed in a number of properties when coming to Penrith for PotFest, and this will be my first choice in the future. Thank you

Close to perfection and second to none.

This being a type of Air B&B we made our own breakfast in the very well equipped kitchenette. Tea bags and coffee were provided as well as a bottle of milk and a complimentary bottled beer and a canned g&t. which couldn't have been better after the long drive up from our previous location. Our hostess, Dawn had provided a key in a lock box by the entrance but, since there were no parking spaces available on the street outside the property, she kindly came out of her adjoining house to help us bring our car in through her gates to park in the property's driveway. The bed and the pillows were as comfortable as it gets and the bathroom facilities second to none so we had a great night's sleep. The whole room was as clean as a whistle with so many thoughtful touches to make it feel very homely.

It was a little stressful not being given the code to the lock box from the point of booking confirmation since we still didn't have it as we approached Penrith and Dawn was unavailable when we first called her to get the code so we worried that she might not even be living on site. A little later she did answer our call so all was eventually well. I think this has something to do with booking.com not wanting such key codes revealed until payment has cleared maybe. Whatever the case it does cause the client some unnecessary stress. There was a wall clock that emitted a fairly loud 'tick tock' that made it a little difficult to get back to sleep following a late night 'bathroom break' and some might find that surplus to requirements. Also the digital clock on the microwave gave off a fairly bright glow and unfortunately it only occurred to us when we got up in the morning that we could have simply unplugged the microwave from the wall to prevent that if only we had noticed! So, our bad.

Excellent modern apartment with easy driving to the Lake District.

A lovely, modern, and bright apartment in Penrith. The location is perfect for visiting the lakes and is an easy walk into Penriths Town centre. Even though it's close to the town centre, the street is very quiet and peaceful.

Excellent from our point of view my stay was very pleasing

It was a self catering agreement....but this was available in town at many places.

After due consideration I found it difficult to find any areas that we were not pleased with.

Perfect in every way and will definitely stay again!

Dawn the host is lovely and all the little extra special touches she left for us were well received. The property is immaculately spotless and fitted to a very high standard with lots of luxury items even magazines. We highly recommend staying here and the garden area is beautiful with birds and flowers, just what we needed after a long drive. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. The bed is super comfy too. Thank you Dawn xx

A lovely comforting haven halfway along a road trip to Scotland

Everything. Met the lovely owners as we arrived and left . So grateful for the G&T in the fridge after a long drive down from Scotland. Super clean and super comfortable. I even ordered some of the pillows when I got home because they were so comfortable and I struggle to find good ones- so I’m chuffed. Will definitely rebook next time we drive to Scotland. Also, restaurants are just a walk away.

Supertolle Unterkunft

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Garden room. Sehr, sehr nette Gastgeber, die auch auf unsere Zusatzwünsche perfekt eingegangen sind. Die Unterkunft ist nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Das Bett war sehr bequem, die Einrichtung komfortabel und alles sehr sauber. Das moderne Bad ist mit einer großen ebenerdigen Dusche ausgestattet und die Bade- und Handtücher wurden regelmäßig gewechselt. Wir konnten sogar unser Fahrzeug im Innenhof parken. Zur Krönung kochte uns unsere Gastgeberin zum Abschluss noch ein perfektes Dinner. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit. Jederzeit wieder.

Heerlijk tiny house!

Wat een heerlijk tiny house! Smaakvol en zichtbaar met liefde ingericht, alles wat je maar nodig kunt hebben was aanwezig (tot aan het naaisetje aan toe). Zeer vriendelijke host! De accommodatie ligt aan de rand van het centrum van Penrith, waar wat winkels en restaurants zijn. Je loopt er in een kwartiertje naartoe, bergafwaarts en terug dus wel een aardige klim. Helaas waren we er maar één nachtje, had graag gebleven!
