Urban Perch

It was a very handy location - not far from the train or bus station and in the centre of the town. The owners were very responsive when we had questions.

It would have been good if the fridge had been left on so we didn't have to enquire about it and the supply of tea topped up. Also we would have like a bread knife. Finally, I hadn't picked up that the 'bedroom' was actually a mezzanine (so not very private) with very steep stairs.

Lovely & clean with everything you could need - extra pillows, a really comfy bed, all kitchen equipment, towels, nice toiletries in the bathroom, smart TV and dining space. A really good base to spent time in Penrith and travel to various places around that area of the Lake District. Close to all convenient shops including M&S Food. Also lots of restaurants, independent coffee shops and takeaways on the doorstep. We will certainly visit again!

The location was really convenient but not at all noisy. The apartment was fresh, clean and attractive.

There was nothing I didn't like

I loved the kitchen, the spiral staircase up to the bed area, the comfy bed and having a bath. I was very grateful for the late checkout. Very close to numerous shops, but felt peacwful

It was a bit tricky to find, but when I called in the corner shop, James was very helpful in showing me how to gain access. There was no hand soap nor shower gel (I got by using shampoo!) I wasn't keen on the 5am seagull alarm clock outside the loft windows :)
