Great spot for walks in the area - very close to a lovely little town and all its facilities.

Nice, tidy little property close to what we were there for -27 mile charity walk for Alzheimer’s Society round Ulswater. Much appreciated the bath after that!

The neighbour. Initially parked in the space next door to unload as we hadn’t had chance to read the briefing sheet indoors. The signs are ambiguous - it’s says “private property no parking” the crucial bit of info that was missing was who the private space was for. That simple detail would’ve saved a lot of shouting from those cantankerous idiots. Hilariously they have signs in their plastic tat filled ‘garden’ saying “welcome” “be happy” or some other asinine manufactured banalities. We were there for 5 minutes tops - by then we’d read the sheet and were literally just unloading before finding an on street parking spot.

It was an unusually hot weekend!

Clean and tidy with good facilities. Good location in Penrith. Parking wasn’t a problem.

Beds were a bit spongy - but not uncomfortable.

Location very convenient, house suited us with plenty of space to keep our bikes safe. No complaints the property did everything we needed.

Paint work near front door needs tidying up, doesn't affect the accommodation, but creates a slightly ( undeserved) first impression.

A good location within easy walking of nearby shops and town centre.

The host, Izabela, was easily contactable and sorted out a booking issue straight away.

Parking might sometimes be difficult if the town is busy although we always managed to park nearby for free. Izabela was very helpful in giving directions to the available parking.

Great dog friendly property, suited us well for a short stay in the North Lakes.

The property was clean and well equipped for our 2 night stay. Good location for exploring North Lakes area.

Parking was a little walk away on another residential street. Main bedroom mattress was too soft for me - that’s personal preference though.

the mattress was very thin on double bed could feel all the springs , so never slept well , shame as bedroom was very cosy .

It was close to town

The property was poorly kitted out, for example no can opener or grater. The beds were awful it was like trying to sleep on a cobbled street. I had imprints of springs on my back when I got up! There was a horrible smell outside the property the whole time too which meant no windows could be opened. Parking is a major issue, with neighbours being very aggressive even though I only briefly pulled in to unload the car.

Great location to explore the area

Great location and very clean accomodation.

There was no parking next to property therefore had to carry things a fair way. Parking permits would be better as the streets adjacent are all resident parking areas. There was only half a toilet roll left for us and as the details say its included we hadn't taken any.

Lovely, warm, welcoming cottage in a convenient location for the town and getting into the Lakes

1 Hamilton Terrace was spotlessly clean - literally. It's also a lovely warm house, with a digital thermostat that's easy to control. The house warms up super-quickly. (We were saying in March so this was important!) The rooms are good sizes, including the bathroom - and the shower is great. The kitchen and dining area is a nice space. We cooked and ate in every night and found most of what we needed for that. Again, everything was spotless. The road the house is on is busy at commuting times but fine most of the time. The house is double-glazed so you don't notice any noise anyway. Parking is easy to find within a two-minute walk of the house. The location is SUPER-convenient for the town centre and really near two lovely large supermarkets (but do walk a bit further and visit James & John Graham for gorgeous delicatessen-produce.

There were a few tweaks and additions to the kitchen that we could have done with but I know that the owner is addressing these so I won't list them here. We agreed that we would stay at the house again.

Gut ausgestattetes Haus, sauber, leider ohne Parkplatz.

Das Ferienhaus war gut ausgestattet und sauber.

Die Unterkunft wird mit Parkplatz beschrieben, hat aber keinen Parkplatz. Leider liegt das Haus an einer viel befahrenen Straße ohne Parkmöglichkeiten. Man muss sich in den weiter entfernten Nebenstraße einen Parkplatz suchen.
