Great saving

Very friendly staff. Value for money- the room met all my expectations. Central location close to CBD, right near food joints and walking distance to CTICC. Close to a small grocery store for last minute items

Shocking Lack of Cleanliness and Maintenance

We unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Although we only stayed for two hours due to an unexpected emergency, that was more than enough time to notice some serious issues with the room. Firstly, the fridge was damaged and the toilet did not flush properly. Secondly, when we remade the bed (we had only laid on top of the sheets because it was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning), we noticed stains at the bottom end of the bedsheets underneath the covers that appeared to be blood. We never got underneath the covers at all, which made this even more concerning. We only discovered the stains because we remade the bed before leaving. We have a strong habit of leaving spaces exactly the way we found them - especially in the service industry as a courtesy to the next guest and the staff. It was during this process that we noticed the stains. We checked in late, so there was more than enough time for the room to have been cleaned thoroughly beforehand. We even walked past a cleaner just two rooms down from ours. It raises serious concerns about the cleaning standards and room inspections prior to check-in. Surely it should not be the guest’s responsibility to point out basic cleanliness issues upon arrival. To be clear, even without the emergency that caused us to leave early, had we noticed these issues, we would have left immediately and would not have returned under any circumstances. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Based on what we encountered in just two hours, we absolutely cannot recommend staying here.

I was calm relaxed and pleasant

I did not have the breakfast. The location is central and close to shops and other amenities.

I found some of the staff to be unapproachable and unhelpful. Throughout my three-day stay, there were no follow-ups to check on room cleanliness or to see if I required any support.

The cleanliness is zero The bed sheets were dirty with semen and makeup from the time of check-in which is a health risk. Even when we complained the daytime staff did not take us seriously.the toilet also had poop stains

Not worth my money.

The view from the window.

The place didn’t have a bin in. The towels were washed but still had stains on them. We didn’t get a remote for the tv when we did the remote didn’t properly work. Outside street parking. I paid for a double bed I got two side beds and was told to just move them together but they were not the same height. The cupboard fell apart referring mostly to the doors.

The xosa girl at reception and the xosa guy who sits in the lobby I think is a security at night they are very unprofessional, rude and loud ,we always stay at this place for years even the old man who used the run the place knows us ,but now I would refer this place to anybody ,it became horrible !

DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM MANDY

Absolutely nothing, worst experience ever, rude and arrogant manager Mandy, has no way of dealing with people approaches guest in her dirty pink pajamas this includes her staff, rooms are filthy broken windows and fittings, they are roach infested

Again nothing, the manager Mandy has a disgusting attitude, shouts and has no way of speaking to guest. Sits and attends to guest in her dirty pink pajamas. She has no people skills at all. The staff is rude and Mandy's boyfriend who also works there as a maintenance guy and chef is a liar stated that the lady who previously helped us was fired only for her to check us in again.

Disgusted

Nothing at all was very disappointed about our room. Even our sheets were dirty, and our remote had no batteries, and we couldn't trust our food in the fridge that was located on the 1st floor, but we were on the 2nd floor.

Everything,our TV, had 1 channel, and the fact that we must leave our room keys by the reception was beyond my liking.I paid for those keys even if it was for one night only.Very dissapointed with my stay by your hotel.

Hospitality with a heart!💝

The breakfast...ooh thanks Chef👌 My luggage was delayed for my entire stay, but the manager at Capepod City Centre truly stepped in like an angel. She took me shopping, made sure I had everything I needed, and ensured my safety and comfort. Her kindness turned a stressful situation into a memorable experience. I’m genuinely grateful.🫂 I will definately return.

The place is new still under development

I like that size of the room the bed was comfortable they offered free breakfast for our entire booking but we couldn't keep up with time

It was very hot no air-conditioned or fan the was lot of noise for the whole night cars people I really don't know if there is a club near the hotel or not also the TV only you tube was playing even so they said we must log with your own credentials if I wanted to watch something

Rough Diamond

The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the V&A Waterfront and the pricing is reasonable. Trevor and Mandy went out of their way to make me feel welcome. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Trevor offered to share dinner that evening, made me a nice breakfast and arranged for me to be escorted to the bus station safely where I was catching a bus.

The building is old and rather run down however Trevor and Mandy are committed to updating the place and indeed adding 'sleeping pods' for budget travellers. They are working on rejuvenating Cape Pod on a floor by floor basis.

Appreciated the hospitality and facility/

The staff are lovely and room comfortable. A significant improvement from previous stay though still undergoing renovations. Was also nice that there is Wi-Fi now as previous stay did not have Wi-Fi. The breakfast option is also a lovely and perhaps to start breakfast earlier than 08h00 for those off to work. I appreciate the proximity for work purposes and as already mentioned, lovely team.

Television could be upgraded to smart tv on all floors.

Staff and the location - since it was closer to work, and the staff were good to me. They also made sure I was ok and my room was clean all the time.

Staff didn't notify us before hand that the T.V was not functioning and the lack of a designated smoking area is a severe down side as you have to go outside in the rain if you want to smoke. Also the wifi is kinda dodgy. Connects the 10 to 20 minutes later no connection or it just disconnects all together
