The Retreat Stockbridge Spa

Loved everything about this place. The location, the size, the kitchen were all very accommodating.

Small leak in one of the bathrooms needed fixing. Parking was complecated.

Great space, great location, well stocked and beautiful outdoor spaces. Neighborhood shops are 5 minute walk away and have anything you need. Bus stops also 5 minute walk away. Street is quiet and the living space is more than you would expect. Hosts are very responsive. Great setup and would readily return.

Weather was too warm to warrant trying the sauna...I'm sure it would've been great, too!

The apartment has a lovely homely feel to it. The information in the welcome pack describes it has having, until recently, been the owners family home. You really feel this in the overall atmosphere and, the standard of equipment and facilities certainly reflect this. It is the sort of place that you too, instantly feel at home. Location is also excellent. The road outside it not a through road to anywhere and there is minimal traffic. Inside the apartment is so quiet. It is a short walk from both Stockbridge village centre or, up the hill and into the city centre. The apartment even has a quaint little garden at the back and a sitting area in the courtyard at the front, not that we sat out in February!

I cannot really think of anything to say that I did not like. The apartment is by no means bran new decor, there are some bits and pieces of minor maintenance to be done but, nothing which impacts your enjoyment of it.

The flat is spacious and well equiped with everything we needed. It has a lot of character and we enjoyed sitting outside in the lovely garden.

The host requires a verification process which costs at least £10. I was not made aware of this before booking and the third party provider only allowed me to pay in my country currency, so I could not use my UK debit card to avoid the unfavourable exchange rate.
