Machine Inn

Very well located for Ashbourne and surrounding area (on a walking break). Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable.

As it’s just a room not a hotel, you can’t refer to a reception for any issues and coffee/tea wasn’t topped up each day. A lot of road noise during the day as it’s on a major thoroughfare.

Everything - literally every little detail was thought of

Great if you are looking for something central. Rooms spacious and clean

Wasn't informed that no one would be present at check out and there was no instructions where to put my key card. I'm also still awaiting the hotel to provide the invoice. The fridge started making an awful noise in the middle of the night. No advice given on where to park, as a non local a postcode to a car park would be super helpful.

Beautiful room, comfy bed and excellent toiletries

It was a shame that we had to be taken across the road from the main building to be greeted by the stench of fish from the oriental restaurant that our room sat above. The smell was awful, to the point where we could still smell it on our clothes the next day where they went straight in the wash. We left early as we couldnt face anymore time in the room Minor points were that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work which turned it into a sauna plus nobody answered the ‘emergency support’ number when we called the next day to return our key - kind of defeats the point of having one
