Loved the location and the quirky 250 year old building. So individual. Mary was the perfect host. Room clean, warm and comfortable. Will definitely visit again.
Just take care on the steep stairs of this beautiful old building

Not a lot
The stair carpet is dated and thread bear
The room was over crowed with beds and chairs no where to put drinks
There was old food under the bed
The vibe was local pub for local people

Value, parking, quirky memrobilia (horse related, for an equine industry town), bar with some traditional ales.
Amazing quality breakfast (and served quickly based on booking time).
Just a bit run-down decor-wise. Squeezing shower en-suites into old rooms of historic British buildings always leads to slightly mouldy shower cubicles, even when well cleaned.

Breakfast was good and room was fine
Back door lock needs fixing properly. We were sober and couldn’t unlock the door at first. It needs fixing properly!!!

Wifi would have been nice. Sort of essential these days, particularly as mobile reception quite poor.

Fabulous atmosphere, so welcoming and cannot wait to book again
There is nothing to dislike about The Royal Bank, even though there was no evening food available, we ordered in an our host was absolutely fabulous, set a table, warmed plates - honestly a great place to stay 👍🏻

Nothing was to much trouble for Mary she made us very welcome. We had gone for the races and she otrganisef a taxi to the race course, put on sandwiches at night and cooked a lovely breakfast with a big pot of tea that had plenty of tea in it . Tbe rooms was clean and warm and she checked all the guests were okay continually . Right in the town centre and full of character. Would throughly revcommend. Also plenty of parking .

Great place to stay for Uttoxeter Races, friendly staff and nice homely feel, lovely breakfast on New Year’s Day :-)
The church bells going through the night (might have just been because it was New Year?)

Quirky! It is an old building but felt very comfortable.
Shower needs some improvement… high step in and out, not very strong.

Parking was easy, location fantastic
Threadbare carpets, no shelf in the shower to put toiletries. The curtains were light with no blackout, it was light all night. Could not open curtains as no nets and looked out on to other rooms so had to get ready under the bedroom light, not natural light.. The room was not serviced as they "forgot to come back to do it".

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel is dated but it is a very old building. It was clean and comfortable.
We stayed with family and friends and all had issues with our rooms. One couple had to be moved as the shower flooded the dining room and myself and the other couple we went with had no electricity so couldn't make a drink or have a shower. I have emailed the hotel twice but haven't received a reply at all.

my daughter says the biscuits, and the beds. I say the charm of the place and the nice staff.
There were empty Dr Pepper cans in the drawer. The television could be bigger.

Karen was friendly and welcoming. The guided tour inc the self supporting spiral staircase and the iron safe was very interesting.
Having chosen to stay in an old building the uneven floors and odd room layouts was fully expected.
The hotel car park was good and the location in the heart of the town was ideal for shops, the many pubs including a spoonies 2mins walk away and 3x chippies.!
Evening meals were not available when we visited but there are more than enough eateries within a 3 min stroll. Breakfast is offered.
Not so much didn't like, after all with the address of Church Street it could have been expected but the clock tower tells you every 1/4 hr the time in an audible fashion all through the night.. but with Spoonies medication, it's wasn't t a problem for me.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and we like the place. We do not have breakfast. We prefer this hotel to a Premier Inn or Travelodge because they all look alike, no character.
I can’t remember.

Location perfect, right in the centre. Lovely warm welcome. The 4 poster bedroom was very comfortable and the whole hotel was filled with antique furniture and wonderful collectibles.
3.0 / 10.0
The breakfast, although expensive. Car parking.
Room - antiquated furniture, room overcrowded with furniture, bathroom disgraceful, black mould everywhere. On second room described as suitable for disabled wasn't fully suitable, fortunately the second guest was not confined to a wheelchair. The second bedroom also had skirting board missing. Dirty plates left on landing. Needs a thorough deep clean and overhaul/redecoration for the prices being charged.

The Bank House has character. Some will love it. Others may hate it. A traditional bar and rooms that are make you smile.
The church bells did not ring every 15 minutes during our stay. The restaurant has closed.

Bed comfy, bathroom clean and shower was good.
Floors dirty, furniture old and worn down, TV didn't work. Carpets on stairs and landing is so old and dirty and worn away - yes the hotel is 250 years old, but they can modernise it...!!
No breakfast option, hotel so warm, no fans to cool the room down. Just old and worn down - wouldn't stay again.

I was running a little late and reception were happy to stay on a little after 9pm to check me in.
It was a little cramped in the room
