Thun Alpine Base Gateway to Interlaken & Bernese Oberland

Self check-in was super easy, found the keys in a numbered lock box at the flat entrance main door, code shared by host in advance. Entire house was retro style gives very nice village look from outside, however from inside it is modernize very well provided everything you need. House was very big with much useful space. They have provided multiple multi socket connector and charger as well so we can charge mobiles. Wi-fi was working super fine. Enough toiletries were available, Kitchen also has basic things like Sugar, Slat, Oil etc. Overall we enjoy the stay and would like to stay again here in future as well.

Microwave was missing in the kitchen that we usually need most to heat food quickly. Lighting was little less in the living area, less ceiling lights more table lamps were there, so in the night time Or cloudy weather it could be difficult to find small things Or dark color items.

Perfect house with a nice small garden. The place is clean and cozy. Very friendly for dogs.

The keys were easy to find in a lock box (which wasn't locked) right next to the door, and there was parking directly in front of the house. The owner was very kind, friendly, and helpful in assisting us with some initial difficulties. The house was very clean and has a fenced garden, which allowed us to let our dogs outside without any worries. We had the entire house to ourselves and were not disturbed by anyone. The location is ideal—very quiet, close to Interlaken, and about half an hour from Grindelwald.

The house is heated with a pellet stove and electric heaters. At first, the circuit breakers tripped when we turned on the heating, so we had to contact the owner, who helped us locate the fuse box. The Wi-Fi code was also not immediately available, so we had to reach out again. It might be helpful to provide guests with a small information folder containing the most important instructions. The door leading directly into the kitchen seems more suitable as an interior door and was not very well sealed, which was noticeable during the cold weather. The door handle also came loose a few times. Since the door between the kitchen and living room has been removed, there was a noticeable draft. The bed frames are made of very solid wood; however, the mattresses are inexpensive foam. Unfortunately, this caused some back discomfort for us, and we decided to shorten our stay by one night.
