Great location to visit family, close to trams and bus stops into Nottingham city centre.

Room was great, very clean. Bedding was good quality, mattress a bit soft but comfortable. Plenty of space. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Plenty of free parking across the road and also the street behind the apartments.

Would have been helpful to know there are two sets of very steep stairs, tricky for some of us.

Absolutely recommended, for both long and short stays. Easy

Everything was fine, we stayed there as a couple and had a facilities needed to do normal life for a month, well located next to big supermarkets, and only 15 minutes walk from the city center of Nottingham, really good! On top of that , and most important, Rama is an excellent host and a good person, he’s paying attention all the time you need him, answers really quick to any questions or requests for the stay, and couldn’t really ask for better than we have been attended, to be fair. Highly recommended accommodation.

Awful and disaster

Read this everyone b4 u book.place is a nightmare except cleaning. Also check pictures of building its inside the base all the flats by main road like a tunnel. From where i start .paid extra money for a studio flat which was inside the base where were the most of the flats..upstairs was a cafe and fast food which is u can't see or find it out when u book online . All the flats made by plaster boards literally u can hear everything from outside and even som1 walk..all the floor made by light wood.located by main busy road. Well finally try2 sleep and started listening pops n bangs like im sleeping on a racing track,,too much noise cz Windows whole inside for ventilation. Its na finish yet right around 04:30cafe people open the restaurant and sudden i heard duzz duzz and daa daa and loud noise and talking until i got awoke up and convo continued like im under the stable of horses and it continued until my sleep gone away. Lets talk about heating which was outside button u have to turn it on after every 4 hours cz it goes off.. Advance paid for 2 nights which was completely waisted. Never recommended to no1 especially when u travel from work and want to sleep or relax.. Don't go online pictres and its totally ooposite.. Only flat was super clean which was na worthy if u cant sleep also was really tight everything from bedroom to toilet.

For “basic” accommodation costing less than a hostel dorm bed, this place is exceptional! Spotlessly clean and all in excellent condition, thoughtfully laid out and equipped with everything you may need. Easy access by public transport, a perfect stay and will definitely be my go-to now when visiting Nottingham!

Good price/performance ratio for this type of accommodation

Hartley's House Studios offers a number of rooms with private bathroom (shower) and kitchenette. The building is located on the edge of the city centre, but there are two bus routes nearby that go directly to the city centre and also to the train station. Some rooms (like the one I used) are under the roof and are therefore a little cramped. But for one person this doesn't matter for a short stay. All in all, this place fulfilled my expectations and it was offered at a very reasonable rate.

There wasn’t much I could complain about but little thought was given to the installation of the TV: it was mounted so high that you almost have to strain your neck to watch TV in a narrow room. External and internal stairs are rather narrow and steep. Elderly people might have some difficulty to get upstairs.

Disappointing for price

Bed was comfortable. Good fridge, microwave and TV. Short bus trip into Nottingham central.

Very noisy. People talking loudly and slamming doors. Blind on skylight broken. Toilet always draining loudly (had to lift up top of cistern after every use to make it stop). Shower head broken and metal falling off it, wouldn't stay up. Towels were rolled up to look clean but still covered in someone else's makeup and hair in bed. Replaced once complained to host. Stairs very narrow (would be impossible for large suitcases). Had to wait for check in instructions after long journey. Dryer didn't dry clothes, had to air dry and hang from skylight. No air conditioning or fan so room very hot and have to have window open. Not made for people over 6 feet tall.

10 min away from Warhammer world ! (By car). Just perfect. Lot of stuff (kitchen, etc).

Kind of lack of aeration in the common kitchen. The surroundings are quite difficult to park a car.

Comfortable and excellent value.

The attic room is a modern and new conversion with velux window done to a high standard, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The room had a modern fitted kitchen with working appliances, beverage making supplies, and washing up items. The shower room and toilet were clean and functional. The shower was good with shampoo and soap provided. The TV was a good size and wifi was free. The table and chair was convenient. Good location with good value breakfast cafe downstairs, and convenient for main route buses.

The toilet flushed non-stop and loudly. Only one towel and bath mat was provided for 2 guests. The assembly stickers were visible on furniture surfaces. There were three lock boxes, which were fiddly, but no wifi outside to get access codes, Luckily the downstairs cafe owner called owner to retrieve them. Access to the rooms is round the back through a fenced-off staircase next to large trolley bins.

The apartment was clean and compact, with a smart TV

The area isn't nice, very dodgy characters located outside. Very busy road with lots of noise, had to keep the window open due to heat in the room, no ac or fan supplied to combat the heat Checked out a day early, due to a party going on in the room above mine. Not the hosts fault, but the noise carried on until 2am - On a Wednesday night!

Disappointing and unclean.

Good location

Unfortunately I had a really poor experience at Hartley House - I stayed for 2 nights, and there was a clump of hair in the shower when I arrived, dirty sheets, and no towels. There was also minimal hot water for a shower, and a broken fridge that turned on and off all night. The hosts brought a towel on day 2, and offered me a partial refund - but haven’t issued this and have not responded to myself or to booking.com in relation to this. Really disappointing customer care and a lack of integrity.

Delay with entry codes and not as described..

I was told the entry codes would be sent to me an hour before check-in time. I only got the codes after I had been standing outside for an hour trying to contact the owner. When we got in we were expecting a room above ground as it was described as a loft. It was down a steep flight of stairs to a basement. My relative could not manage them so we did not stay.

Excellent studio in convenient location, less than half an hour walk from Nottingham town centre

Excellent studio, lovely modern bathroom. A converted older property. I was in the attic. Rama was extremely helpful when I had access issues. Resolved quickly & he checked back to ensure I'd managed to get in. Thank you.

Great for me, wouldn't suit a taller person (as in over 5 10", so request a larger/higher ceiling if booking here. There are 3 entrances to the property, by the cafe, on the Hartley road itself and at the rear. Confusing so a bit more info beforehand would have been useful. The velux blind has been jammed at a previous time so it can't be opened, again, a minor detail.

Double booking of property

Our property was double booked . We were left standing out in the street until the manager came and relocated us . This probably worked out better as the original one was in a rough area and we felt unsafe . The manager was helpful

There is naturally a bit of noise when other guests come and go from the property however this is inevitable when there are multiple rooms and multiple guests.

Great stay!

The studio was really clean, had a comfy mattress and everything looked new.

The walls felt very thin and could hear everything during the night from other rooms, so bring earplugs! There was no staff on site, although they reply fast via app.

Modern & Comfortable Apartment

My apartment was modern and comfortable; I slept great every night I was there. I didn't need the kitchen facilities but it was well equipped should you need it. The location is good for the bus network - the turquoise line is right there so it is very quick and easy to get into the city. There were busses every 5 mins except on Sunday. Very reasonably priced too - I paid much less money than a friend who stayed in a city center hotel and I feel I had a much nicer room, so it was definitely worth the tradeoff of having to catch a bus into the city.

Wasn't a major issue but the outer door/gate requires you to access a lockbox every time you enter, not just on your first arrival which is a little inconvenient and runs the risk of another guest misplacing the keys. But it didn't cause me any issues.

Très bien pour le quartier

La propreté des lieux étaient extras, la chambre était plutôt grande et la cuisinette dans la chambre pratique. Nous ne savions pas au départ, mais il y a une cuisine complète et une laveuse/sécheuse a disposition des locataires dans une pièce commune. Gros point fort ! Plusieurs ce sont plaint des bruits de la rue, oui, c'est vrai que le coin est bruyant, mais ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôte.

Il faisait très très chaud dans la chambre, seule une des deux fenêtres pouvaient s'ouvrir puisque l'autre était condamné. Le petit frigo marchait par intermittence, nos aliments ne restaient pas froid... Nous avions demander la suite queensize bed puisque mon mari est très grand, mais nous avons été changé de chambre à 4 reprises et le lit que nous avons eu était loin d'être Queen.. L'eau de la douche prend du temps à chauffer et prenez votre douche le plus tôt possible pour avoir de l'eau chaude.

Niente che possa compromettere il soggiorno: - Zona leggermente lontana dal centro (seppur abbastanza ben collegata) - Sarebbe stato utile mettere a disposizione almeno sale ed olio nella cucina - Letto forse un po' stretto per 2 (forse una piazza e mezza) - Se si è sensibili, entra luce nella stanza: la tenda non copre tutta la finestra e trapela anche abbastanza luce dal corridoio dove l'illuminazione è sempre accesa

Bed in the attic with bedbugs, and no funs in the rooms for summer.

The location was good, you could get to all the places on foot (maximum 20 minutes walk) -- La ubicación estaba bien, llegabas a todos los sitios andando (máximo 20 minutos de caminata)

The room they gave us in the attic of the building seemed clean but the bed was full of bed bugs. We arrived late at the accommodation and couldn't sleep at all because of the infestation. We called the landlord, but they didn't have customer service at night, so we had to leave the room very early in the morning and go down to the cafe to wait for them to answer us. Around 6 or 7 am they attended to us and changed our room. The new one did not have bedbugs, but the damage was already done, because when I returned to my country my body was full of bites. In addition, the rooms did not have air conditioning or a fan, we had to ask for a fan several times because the second room did not have bedbugs but it was a real oven. ** La habitación que nos dieron en el ático del edificio parecía limpia pero la cama estaba llena de chinches. Llegamos tarde al alojamiento y no pudimos dormir nada a cáusa de la infestación. Estuvimos llamando al casero pero no tenían servicio de atención por la noche, así que tuvimos que salir de la habitación a las seis de la mañana y bajar a la cafe a esperar a que nos respondieran. Sobre las 6 ó 7 de la mañana nos atendieron y cambiaron de habitación, que no tenía chinches. Pero el daño ya estaba hecho, al volver a mi país tenía el cuerpo lleno de picaduras y mucho malestar. Además, las habitaciones no contaban ni con aire acondicionado ni con ventilador, tuvimos que pedir varias veces un ventilador porque la segunda habitación no tenía chinches pero era un auténtico horno.

Schönes kleines Studio mit guter Ausstattung

Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Anreise war sehr flexibel, da alle Schlüssel in Schließfächern zu finden waren. Die Unterkunft ist nahe eines Waldparks und es gibt Supermärkte in der Nähe. Ich hatte einen sehr schönen und ruhigen Aufenthalt und komme gern wieder.

El anfitrión no responde tus mensajes en caso de emergencia

Estaba bien

A las 2 am comenzó a sonar una alarma de incendio que duró más de 30 min sin que nadie acuda. Mi marido salió a apagarla puesto que fue una falsa alarma. Le escribí al anfitrión para poder solución ese problema y jamás me contestó el mensaje ni las llamadas. A las 6 am abre la tienda que está justo arriba de la habitación y no se puede dormir del ruido que hacen. El barrio es feo, sucio e inseguro.
