Good stay but they could make much more of this apartment

Nice secluded apartment with parking on site- in a quiet area . Washing machine and kitchen included.

It needs some upgrade- I.e. wardrobe to hang sweaters and coats, more cutlery and pans (we were 4 and didn’t have 4 matching plates). The storage room could be more organized. Also some outdoor chairs would be a real highlight.

lovely little apartment in a very nice location with good parking. It is in a mansion type building converted into apartments with own front door.

Accessing the apartment. Despite instructions it was the one door you would never expect it to be. It is fairly narrow and both myself and the neighbour ignored it because we thought it was a cupboard. It is unmarked and the lockbox is at ankle height inside a boundary wall hidden from view. Panicking a little as it was towards evening now, I phoned the agent and was guided to it . Please just number or mark the door. A picture would be best. No other complaints and would stay again.

Wouldn’t stay again

Was asked to pay a £250 deposit in case we damaged anything in the property which wasn’t made clear until to late to cancel. On arrival couldn’t locate key box and nobody would come out so a kind resident helped me which took over a hour ! There was a chipped plate, scratched kettle and dirty dining room chairs which I’m sure I would have had deducted from my deposit if I had paid it but I paid £30 deposit waiver instead thankfully. The shower wasn’t working and when we did finally get some water out it went cold, I had been told emergency was 24 hour but it was until 8pm so now shower or hot water. There was black mould and rust all round the bath & showe screen and behind the until in bathroom was filthy!

There is no mention of a deposit during the reservation. However, if the 200 pound deposit is not paid after the booking, no action is taken. The explanations regarding the collection of keys are very confusing. It should be explained with photographs. Although the house was empty, our early reservation request was not met. Permission was granted at the exact moment. The house does not heat well. Even the heater in the bathroom does not work. The toilet flush fills very slow. It takes 1 hour to use it again.

The bed was comfortable and the facilities clean.

The instructions for getting the key and entering the property are completely wrong, thankfully the man I phoned dealt with the situation with patience, but I should not have to stand out in the cold for 30 minutes while proper instructions were found/given. There was only one saucepan in the kitchen and it did not have a handle..I have gifted the one I bought. It was unfortunate that I chose the coldest week of the year to stay as the heating was woefully inadequate. I had to buy some slippers and when watching TV tuck under the duvet. I would not stay again.

Disappointed

Peaceful, beautiful building amazing grounds, spotless apartment, great private patio perfect in this hot weather. I have stayed here previously and left them a glowing review but things have changed!

Sadly my second stay was not as smooth sailing as before Exactly the same as my first stay completing the online check-in form was a nightmare, it will not allow you to download image of your identification, so I contacted them and said everything was identical to my previous booking and they will already have my ID but they still requested it so I emailed it.I booked it the same afternoon I was due to arrive, so check in is at 5pm and I informed them I would be arriving shortly after that. You require access codes for the main gate and the box so you can retrieve the keys for the actual apartment. Hence to cut it short i didn't get the codes until the following day. I have had no recognition about this or received an apology. After sending my ID they still didn't forward the codes on because they needed the answers to the questions on the check in form, which are basically my car registration and whether I have special needs. I had already told them over the phone these details It Absolutely ruined it for me and i ended up more stressed than before which totally defeated the object of me going there , which was to relax. So disappointed

Great Place, unhappy with the company running it

The place was clean, the washing machine was good. I liked that there were 2 drying racks and an ironing board and iron. The Lounge was comfortable and there was enough kitchen equipment.

The floor was a bit sticky and one ceiling light was out. The main thing I disliked was the excessive ID requirements, We sent them a Drivers License, that wasn't good enough, so we then had to send a passport. The call centre was useless. They mentioned a 200 pound bond would be taken, but they didn't supply a link to be able to do it until we asked. It was supposed to be refunded, its been over a week and we are still waiting for our money.

Peaceful haven

So peaceful, a lovely grand building and nice grounds. The apartment was spotless and everything was in working order and up to date. Stylish and still cosy. I wish I could live there!

It was a bit of a nightmare finding it , as the taxi took me to 30A which was a dump. Due to it being set back from the road was where the confusion lay. Plus, once through the gate locating the key box was a bit like a treasure hunt too but certainly worthwhile

Great just a few things missing.

The fact it is all closed off from the public is great, its a lovely apartment and would recommend for another time or someone else staying in the area. The nextflix was a great bonus.

The instructions to enter the building where not clear, would also have liked tea and coffee making facilities available along with a spare duvet as it was booked for 4 people and only 1 duvet was provided.
