Le Nantais, centre de Rennes avec garage privé

The free garage parking was excellent and so was the location. It was great to have a choice of lovely bistros just across the road.

All the instructions (only sent a few hours before arrival) about how to find the keys, the apartment and the garage were very complicated. It took us 30 minutes from arrival in the street outside the apartment to find the keys, park in the garage and take our baggage up to the apartment. It was like playing an 'escape room' game. Not such fun after a long journey on a hot afternoon. The central light fitting in the living room was not properly attached to the ceiling and had exposed wires so looked dangerous. Also a socket loose in the bedroom. Unfortunately a few party-goers in the street made a lot of noise at about mid-night. they clearly don't respect the Rennes guidelines about being quiet after 10pm

le garage, l'adresse proche du centre de Rennes (tout à pied), le logement avec tout de fourni, la rue Nantaise avec ses nombreux restaurants, la proximité de la place des Lices ... très bon bilan

on aurait aimé plus de serviettes, et une couverture avec la couette "été"

Les photos indiquant l acces au parking et à la boîte à clé sont facilitantes et le logement est propre et bien équipé

Les serviettes fournies sont petites et une deuxième petite ne serait pas superflue. Le chauffage bloqué en janvier mérite d être revu à la hausse isolation des fenêtres ne bloquent pas le froid.

Well located nice flat, it has a parking spot (which you can however only use if you have a very small car)

The booking comes with a request for a very high deposit. I am not sure this is actually in line with Booking.com policy. Furthermore, the deposit is completely out of proportion for a single night stay. The process to transfer the deposit is very cumbersome. The payment link did not work irrespective of dozens of attempts via different browsers and two smartphones. Then they asked for bank transfer which then was also transferred back with a delay, where you have no real guarantee that you will receive your money back. Even more complicated was the process to get the keys where you receive a 6 paged (!) instruction manual after various other messages before with a separate code. The flat is full with warnings and instructions and threats for penalties. Airco did not work and it was very hot in the flat. Communication was confusing, too much, only in French and via different channels. I have never seen such a complicated and annoying booking where you have to spend ridiculous amount of time to organize just to sleep one night somewhere. I do not recommend. And I do not recommend the owner to rent out their flat if they feel that uncomfortable with having strangers in their flat.
