The location was exclusive
There was not hot water from the kitchen or bathroom taps. I reported the fault to Ben and was told to check the boiler pressure. The boiler pressure was fine. No hot water for five days was not good.

Struggled with the shower going from unbearably hot to freezing, however wasn't sure if this was user error.

Easy to find, quiet location. Comfy beds. Good shower. Lovely cosy cottage feeling to the house. Enjoyed our stay.
Fridge was not cleaned properly. No wine glasses. First nights fuel for wood burner would have been appreciated.

A great location, quiet but in easy reach of the town. Comfortable bed and cosy lounge when the log burner was used. Good access to back of the property where the car could be parked. Back porch would be an excellent place to leave bikes.
Equipment in kitchen was rather mismatched, only one wine glass. Frying pans, as with many rental holiday homes, need replacing. Hot water was tricky to achieve in kitchen, but worked it out in the end. Utensils needed a good wash before use. None of the negatives spoilt our stay, but are worth mentioning.

Fabulous location. Everything you require from a holiday home.

Very cosy, the back garden is closed in well, which is good for the dogs, the location is excellent for access to Ulverston and within easy walking distance of pretty much everything. The beds were nice and comfy.
There's a decent play park right at the end of the road which our toddler loved.
It's a nice walk into the centre of Ulverston for breakfast in the Market Cafe, and taking the dogs up Hoad is great too as long as they behave around sheep.
There was a bit of an accumulation of dust and hair etc. under the sofa.
The master bed felt like a queen-size, which is a bit small for two people in my opinion, your mileage may vary.
All of the radiator valves were in the off position aside from the bathroom one, which is fine but I didn't notice until our last night there and was wondering why it was a little chilly everywhere outside of the bathroom.
These are really nit-picks though, all-in-all it was a great stay.

The property is within easy walking distance to Ulverston and its shops, bars, restaurants etc....and also easy access to the beautiful countryside (coast and Lake District) nearby. We planned to cycle the area, and took advantage of some lovely routes nearby. There is a locked covered area in the yard of the house, which was perfect for storing our bikes.
Although the property is a terraced house, on a urban street, it was very quiet day and night.
Nothing...any niggles were quickly responded to by Ben.

The cottage itself was comfortable, and the beds were great to sleep in. The kitchen was well-equipped, so we had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay.
We stayed at this holiday cottage for six nights in August, and while there were some positives, we left feeling quite disappointed overall.
Upon arrival, we were excited to settle in, but it quickly became clear that the cottage didn’t quite match the photos we had seen. It felt like the pictures might have been taken a while ago, as certain features looked dated, and the overall state of the cottage didn’t reflect the polished images online.
One of our main concerns was the cleanliness. The floor was noticeably dirty, and it seemed as if it hadn’t been hoovered or cleaned properly for a while. This was especially concerning as we had our puppy with us, and she was picking up small bits of plastic, glass, and food from the carpets. To make the situation better, we rolled up the carpets, but it was frustrating to have to clean up so much ourselves. We reached out to the host about a Hoover, as we couldn’t find one, and were told there was one in the cupboard – but it wasn’t there. Despite asking again, we received no follow-up response. Given that we were staying for six nights and had a dog, having a Hoover would have made a big difference.
Another issue was the hot water. It took a solid 10 to 15 minutes for any of the taps to provide warm water, and this was consistent across the property. It was frustrating to wait so long for something as basic as hot water, especially when you’re trying to get ready for the day.
We also found the outdoor space to be quite disappointing. The garden was overgrown and needed attention, with plants and weeds taking over. It wasn’t safe for our puppy to roam around, and we spent time clearing up the area to make it a little more suitable for her. Furthermore, the outdoor furniture didn’t match what was shown in the pictures, and we were really looking forward to relaxing in the garden, especially at the end of August.
The overall feeling was that the place just needed a lot more care and attention.

Lovely terraced property near to the town centre with parking on the road outside.
Cosy living room with log fire ( we didn’t use) and galley kitchen with basic washing up facilities provided .
2 comfortable bedrooms ( we only used the double) and nice bathroom ( downstairs). Sunny outside patio in late afternoon .
Great communication from the owner
Very steep staircase

It was a fantastic location central for everything. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.
I couldn’t get hot water and the heating was a bit hard to work out. Maybe some instructions would have helped.

Quiet area within easy walking distance to town, where there are plenty of shops, pubs & restaurants. The place has everything you need but is a little tired looking.

Downstairs bathroom but that’s the joy of an older property!

The cottage is well located for our needs, travelling from Scotland. We were able to park in the street outside.
The cottage itself was clean and tidy and cozy and comfortable.
The accommodation is pet friendly and our dog enjoyed his stay, as much as we did.
While we found the cottage to be warm and comfortable, the heating didn't seem to extend to the bathroom which was particularly cold. Travelling in February, during cold weather, it meant that taking a shower was not particularly pleasant.
There was a problem with the cold tap in the kitchen sink. It had to be manipulated in a particular way, pushing it towards the spout, to achieve a flow of water. It seems that a washer or something inside, is worn out.
My wife complained that the pillows on her side of the bed were lumpy and uncomfortable, although I found the bed, comfortable, and I slept well.
I would also recommend, leaving clear instructions on how to operate the thermostat for the heating. The unit is a touch screen mechanism which is not obvious, I only found out how to work it on our last night, and the controls are quite complicated.
