The beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave them behind.

Lovely ulverston
Ulverston is a great place to visit been loads of times. The cottage great place to stay for the price lovely and warm great towels would definitely stay again the bottle of wine was a lovely gesture thanks to the owners
Not that I didn't like but the TV in the living room could do in my opinion with a up grade it works great and a good brand but nowadays would benefit from a smart TV for the price you can obtain one for now only cheap as a family when you go back after your day out it would be handy as you have Freeview catch up and all the apps netflix/Amazon prime where as people who have account's on them sites can put in their password and watch some movies and the old TV could go in the main bedroom it's only my opinion but would rely be a good boost for your property and your guests

Nice but needs improvement
Nice comfotable warm cottage that was dog friendly also close to the town and local pubs. Is a good cottage for 2 people but not for 4 people, as not enough plates etc in kitchen area. Not enough towels in property.
Not enough cooking Implements or enough cooking dishes for the oven or serving dishes or serving spoons. Not enough plates or glasses for 4 people. The sockets under the dressing table in main bedroom didn't work. Bathroom Shower curtain was very small (think it was a single one did not cover the bath fully) and water was all over the floor during a shower. The shower unit was not secured to the wall correctly.

Quick visit.
Very clean, comfortable beds, location for town was good, parking in front of property good.Well equipped in kitchen with a bottle of wine which was a nice touch.
Only thing we didn't like were the stairs upto the bedrooms.Very steep and I would imagine anyone not too good on their feet might find them a little difficult.

Comfortable, clean and great value for money!
It was grear value for money, and very clean, It was quite spacious and adequate inside, beds were very comfortable. Never met the owners but they were super approachable, a text away and made sure any issues we had were sorted asap.
Initially on the first day we did not have wifi but that was fixed the next day however Tv was not a smart tv so we were unable to watch anything on it, especially no cartoon channels for kids. Despite that kids were very happy and did not want to leave at all.

Adequate for the short time we were there.
Location was central as advertised.
Outside space even including shared garden not practical with a dog - at least one other dog was there and potential of cats unknown. Small private outside space under construction, however had not even been swept clean - cigarette ends and spilled toiletry container. Space certainly not suitable for a big dog as our greyhound is. Outside bins were already full and overflowing.

Awful for road noise
Size ideal for me. Kitchen well equipped and clean. Towels provided and clean. Easy to contact owner with a query. Close to where I needed to be during my stay. Downstairs bathroom was small but had what I needed. Toilet upstairs which was great with main bathroom being downstairs. Clean enough.
My main issue was Road Noise when in lounge! Awful! I did however manage to sleep as noise calmed down by 10pm.They drive to the cottage was a very narrow road with bins either side. I would not want to try get a large car down it. In fact it was recommended reverse down in a large car! I would not have wanted to do that! If my daughter had gone I don't think she could have parked outside as well as me- very small area for more than 3 cars! Already 2 cars there. On entering the property wallpaper was torn off the wall. This made me very nervous entering. There was also wallpaper off the wall near the window in the double bedroom. Stairs very steep. Bannister needs painting plus some skirting boards also need painting. Blind in main bathroom looks like it's damaged but did the job. Over bath Shower was great heat wise but quite restrictive as narrow. The bar shower head was on popped out but went back in okay. Tv only turned on and off on the wall but once on could use remote control okay. In cupboard in 2nd bedroom where boiler is there was a switch hanging down which did not look great or seem 100% safe. Very large bed possible super kingsize. Whilst it was a fab size mattress was awful. Very hard and bed squeaked. I slept well though so once I got comfy I slept. Although I was shattered both nights. Not sure all would sleep very well on it. I did not cook in the kitchen. Only used kettle and a few pots as ate out other than breakfast. I think the owner can sort a lot of the issues easily. Only issue they can not sort easy is the road noise. Think triple glazing needed at the front. Front door is straight onto area you park and major road going out of Ulverston is the road this fronts onto. No building between you and this road. Shame really. I would say if your put most of the day and don't mind road noise and happy to either park in front of house pr on a road nearby you will be okay here. I doubt I will go again.
