Fantastic location, clean, modern, great communication. Very quiet, lovely and warm for a winter stay.
No dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher, no soap for handwashing or basic shower toiletries. The recommended nearby carpark cost us £21 for 3 days. This needs to be factored into the overall cost of the stay.

More outside lighting would be helpful and a gate so the dog didn't need to be on a lead when in the grassed area would be good.

We where very happy with the accommodation, it was spacious, very modern and clean. The location was very convenient to car parking in an area close to the town centre. The Old Bake House was nice and quiet and very relaxing. There was good heating and plenty of hot water, shower was very good and the beds very comfortable. It was perfect for our stay in Ulverston visiting family and exploring the Lake District.
We had no complaints with the accommodation and would highly recommend.

So central to shops bars and restaurants but set back enough to hear no noise .
The beds had to be the comfiest I've ever slept in
The host kept in touch throughout our stay to make sure we had a peaceful stay

The few steps leading up to the place was a bit of a pain as we had my elderly parents with us both in their mid 80 s . We had to help them up and down the steps . As for myself and my husband these steps were not a problem and must admit the steps were well lit .

Excellent property. Photographs on advert really do not capture how great this place is. Large modern bright living space. Two excellent double bedrooms. Stylish bathroom. High ceilings throughout. Situated 50 metres from bars etc. yet still quiet.

So minor - Dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets
Out of hosts control - very noisy seagulls on the roof all day and night
Double yellow parking lines outside to drop luggage off which was fine for us as we didn't have much and car park was a 2 minute walk away from the house

Accommodation was close to all bars and restaurants. Lovely,modern and spacious rooms. Bed was so comfortable and rooms were all spotless. Can’t fault the property at all. Host was in contact throughout our stay to answer any questions we may have had.

The location was perfect, as far as it was in reach of pubs, shops, the Laurel & Hardy statue, and takeaways if required.
The inside was beyond our expectations, with everything you could possibly need!
The beds were super comfortable, a massive bonus for a good nights sleep!
I couldn't find 8A on Google Maps, and there isn't parking outside. So, if you can find 8 Soutergate on the map, 8A is behind it! There is an open doorway (Ginnel/Alley) that leads to steps to the property (top of the steps on your immediate left)
The best place to park is on Stockbridge Lane, price-wise. (under £6 for 24 hours) about 5 minutes from 8A.

It was a great location and central to town. Parking very close by. The property was clean, nicely set out, a great size, comfy and had everything you needed.
The gate banged constantly and steps were steep for my sister, who is 88 years. The sneck on gate needs fixing.

Exceptional location, just steps from the centre of this lovely town! The apartment was very clean and tidy, had everything provided, and was "as new" in May 2025. Good communication by email from the owner too. Cannot fault it.

Good communication. Very clean. Newly renovated. Good facilities. Excellent location. Ulverston is an interesting place. Walk up the Gill to the Hoad monument and along the old canal to the canal foot. Excellent restaurants in Ulverston. We especially liked Lal Churrasco, it's not cheap but well worth it for a special treat.
If had to pick anything, could add reading lamp in second bedroom.
