The Old Bakehouse

Excellent refurbishment of an old building in the town centre. Ulverston is a very welcoming place and the accommodation is right in the centre.

There were some things obviously emptied from the property that hadn't been put into the recycling bin, everything else was fine.

Spacious and well decorated, we felt very comfortable. We had everything we needed and were right by the town centre. We managed to park for free just a short walk up the road and visited other places in the Lakes such as Bowness. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again.

No instructions on what to do about the bins. Recycle bins were full and the previous renters contents were blowing everywhere! Do not leave any bin bags outside- the seagulls will open them. A wheelie bin would have been useful. Also, be aware that the outdoor space is shared.

Very nicely furnished, comfortable beds and quiet.

The outside area was confusing with people sitting at what we thought was our table and chairs. The neighbours opposite were friendly enough but one day a group of lads were sat there who weren’t so friendly. Also there were no instructions about the rubbish and recycling. There was a full recycling box when we arrived with flies and seagulls on it and no clarity on where to take it. I had to ask what to do about the rubbish and was told to put it in number 8’s bin which was already full and left overflowing all week obstructing the alley. One last thing a lamp is needed in the second bedroom as the lights are way too bright.

It was a very cosy apartment with good space and light rooms; good decor and verycomfortable
