The staff were very really friendly, explained what events were happening whilst we were there and helped us find our room upon arrival. For Mez the staff were the saving grace for this booking because overall it was a less than mediocre weekend stay.
The food was fairly priced at the restaurant and the bed itself was comfortable.
The shower seemed to run on a water tank, so when the first person was done showering (there were three of us), it was cold water for the rest. We had to wait a few hours between showers, or time them at weird points in the night, so we could all access hot water over the weekend.
The room was tightly compact, with only one side table and a wardrobe/coffee station that wasn't big enough to hang my coat. So, very little space to practically put your things out.
The breakfast bag was fine. I'm guessing it was prepared the night before and provided by a cleaner the next day as the place doesn't actually open to the public until midday. The bag had pre-packed biscuits, a pre-packed pastry, two pieces of fruit, a small carton of orange juice and one large bottle of still water to share. I'd booked a room for three people, but we only received two bags on morning one and none on morning two, which felt pretty inconsistent. Maybe because the third person didn't arrive with us when we checked in? But given that my booking said three people, this was a surprise. Either way, it's a shame a simple fresh breakfast can't be offered for purchase given the restaurant is just upstairs, or even just the option of a hot drink, that would make the world of difference.

I feel the rooms lack a little side table and I was unsure where to leave the keys on the way out

The location was amazing, the bed was comfy
The heat, couldn’t open the doors and had no fan struggled to sleep, also still haven’t received my deposit
