Mostly very pleasant

Very clean, room very well presented, hosts very friendly

As a lone female traveller it made me very uncomfortable that there was a lock on the outside of my room door and not on the inside. There was also no lock on my bathroom door. This would put me off from using again unfortunately.

Nice room. Lovely and warm in November. Nice toiletries. Staff pleasant but see below.... 😂

No coffee. Milk one year out of date. Woken at 0400 by owner returning home without keys ringing to ask if we could come down and open the door. Didn't hear phone ringing as on silent, but heard noises as if someone was breaking in as we were told that owner was away. They had found the key and came in, and we heard crying children when they were presumably putting them to bed in a room across the landing. This is a house that let's a bedroom out. No separate access and is not clear from the description. Owner contacted us after booking had been paid to say he was on site and we could cancel. This really needs making clear in the listing, not after booking and payment. A nice room spoiled by lack of organisation, very limited kitchen equipment (2 plastic plates, 2 mugs. 2 knives and forks. No bowls and a kettle that is attached to the flex meaning you are taking a kettle with plug to the bathroom to fill. There is a microwave. Rug at foot of bed a tripping hazard and bathroom rug unclean. And please find your keys before ringing guests. Not much sleep after that, as it was a bizzare and slightly disturbing incident. If you are old enough to have enjoyed Fawlty Towers, you'll love it. 😂

The listing does not make it clear that this is the spare room in a young family's home so you are effectively 'sleeping over' in a stranger's house. There is no separate entrance and the room is not very private. We didnt mind hearing young children in the night and early morning, but some people might.

One of the best places I've stayed at, my go to for Nottingham

The personal touch was refreshing with a call from the hosts to find out arrival time. They were really welcoming and helpful. As a lady traveling alone, I felt very safe and secure. The room was exceptionally decorated, comfortable and cosy, resulting in a wonderful night's sleep. The room was fully equipped and even had a fridge. The welcoming information regarding the rooms facilities, local area, shopping, transport and eating out was thorough, everything was fully covered, not boring and actually a pleasure to read. I have to say, it is one of the nicest places I have stayed at and will definitely be my go to next time I need to stay in Nottingham. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Friendly family

Very friendly host. I was only there for a night. They had made a real effort to make the room nice.

I was expecting this to just be a room in a family house but I was a bit disconceted by the fact that there was no lock on the inside of the door, but there was a drawbolt on the outside? The baby woke up at 6 am too! Little things could easily be improved like the TV wasn't tuned in, there was a fridge but no water in it.

Comfortable venue close to all you need for a short stay.

I loved the comfortable bed, but as the weather was warner than usual, at times the doona proved too hot. Off street parking was a bonus as was the full shower, rather than a shower over a bath. Good pubs and supermarket very handy, as was bus into city.

This was our 1st experience in our 14 weeks away that we've stayed in someone's residence. While our hosts were gracious and welcoming, it was simply us who felt like we were invading someone's home. It's not what we're used to doing...lol

A lovely place to stay in Arnold Nottingham.

Michael and Charice were great hosts and felt at ease staying here for a couple of days. The room was nicely laid out with all that you need for a good stay. Fridge, microwave and kettle for your food and drink requirements. A TV with Amazon and Netflix and Freeview to keep you entertained while indoors. Plenty of wardrobe space for clothes etc. The bed is very comfortable and there's a lovely bathroom with a shower with lovely hot water. This room would suit either a single person or couple. If I'm up this way again I will definitely check this property out again and would recommend this home to stay in.
