Great place to stay, we'll be back!

We live in a small village in the wilds of Suffolk and found the location of the Merton Road property to be even quieter. During this particular short stay we didn't cook in the flat but found the kitchen to be well equipped.

We found the flat to be so nice generally it seems churlish to be critical however there were a couple of very minor niggles: a. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up; some adjustment required. b. The bedroom wasn't really dark at night as the white blinds in the bedroom allowed a lot of light from the street into the room. c. My wife found the heating controller setting that meant it defaulted to 16C irritating.

Perfect stay at Merton Place.

Accessibility was good for me as I’m disabled got my wheelchair in and out the apartment without too much hassle.Lovely spacious and well decorated rooms, ideal parking very very close to the apartment. Must point out although I’m disabled I do have some mobility with a stick that’s why the accessibility was good for me.

Absolutely wonderful.

Brilliant parking bay with easy access to the main entrance. Very comfortable and very well appointed. Superior furnishing, tastefully decorated and superb wardrobe space. Great location and we did a lot of walking and we downloaded the Veezu app to our phones for getting a taxi when required. Exceptional. Ellis, our host, was very responsive and helpful whenever we asked for a bit of guidance. 10 out of 10. Nice big TV and unbroken WIFI. The apartment is a credit to the owner All in all, a lovely place to stay and we would recommend it highly.

Good base in Portsmouth

Location was good. A real bonus to have private parking on the property. Kitchen well-equipped.

No coffee maker. Also, sent the contact a message to see if there was a coffee maker but got no reply. Not a major issue for our request but would have expected the courtesy of a reply. That made the difference between providing a higher guest rating.

Clean and comfortable apartment centrally located in Southsea.

Easy access. Clean, tastefully furnished.

For stays of over a week, a clothes dryer would be a welcome addition.

Comfortable but without a sense of warmth

Very good shower, comfortable bed, quiet. Very fast wifi. A bit difficult to find the lock safe.

I didn't like the dark coloured sheets and the pillows were old. The tv was difficult to work out but the owner came around and helped and also to assist with the heated towel rail.

Good location for Portsmouth Break.

Excellent parking in front of apartment. Easy access using keysafe and very comfortable seating and bed. Good cooking facilities. Large smart tv. Very quiet location.
