    1. Room had mold on ceiling 2. Room had cracks on ceiling 3. Room had no phone 4. Room had insufficient lighting Note: this was room on 5th (top floor). Other floors might of had cleaner rooms.

    Hotel location is good. Near station but not busy. Bathroom turn lock is noisy. I was disappointed with the luggage storage after check-out. When I asked for a luggage tag, I was told quite sternly that they do not provide one. My luggage was left in a meeting room with other guests’ luggage, and I noticed the door was left wide open during the day. This was concerning because before check-in, my luggage had been kept in a locked room.

    We were returning from a night in Flam and transiting through Bergen, before heading on to our next destination. So we decided to stay at Zander K Hotel, primarily because of its location next to the train station. Turned out to be a great choice. The location is great; right next to the train station, and also near to the Bergen Light Rail station that takes you to the airport. This was a lifesaver for us, not having to lug our luggage around - compared to the first hotel we stayed where we had to lug our luggage for about 20 minutes on uneven and at times cobblestoned ground. It's still a bit of a walk from where alot of the life of Bergen is (i.e the city center or the port), but it wasn't too long nor difficult a walk - pretty easy. The staff were also very helpful - we wanted to deposit our bags a couple of days early as we didn't want to lug it with us to Flam. The staff readily agreed to safekeep it, which was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. They were also very friendly throughout, from check-in to check-out. A big (positive surprise) for us was the hotel breakfast spread. We didn't realise we had breakfast included and were ready to head out to look for a cafe (which isn't easy in Bergen since most cafes seems to only open at 9am.) The breakfast spread was very varied - from hot foods like eggs, bacon and sausages, to cold foods like cured meats and smoked salmon, and breads. We really enjoyed the breakfast spread and it was all delicious. The room was a little small (hard for us to open two luggages simultaneously), but it was clean and sufficient. We had a great night's sleep and stay. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it to travellers, especially those looking for convenience and who may have large luggages.

    A good location to the train station and for the tram getting to the airport, although a bit of a walk to the Bryggen historic area. Also, room was small and the shower recess was very dirty - with grime in the grout of the shower recess, and no automatic house-cleaning. Buffet breakfast was good.
