    STAY AWAY — TERRIBLE 4-NIGHT I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly regret choosing this hotel. The male reception staff were particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was no sense of genuine hospitality, and dealing with reception was an unpleasant experience. The room and housekeeping were also disappointing. My room was cleaned, but the hand towels were not replaced. The shower area is poorly designed, with water easily splashing out onto the bathroom floor. There was no proper air conditioning in the room. Instead, I was given a small fan, which was hardly an acceptable solution. The entire hotel feels old and outdated, and it is clearly in need of renovation. Most concerning of all, I experienced significant itchiness whenever I slept on the bed. I cannot confirm that it was caused by bed bugs, but given that the itching occurred specifically when sleeping on the bed, I was seriously concerned about the cleanliness of the mattress and bedding. This made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. One more thing if you are arriving by airport shuttle: getting to the hotel with large luggage is not particularly convenient. Some sections of the route have cobblestone roads, which make it difficult to drag a large suitcase and could potentially damage the luggage wheels. This is something I would definitely consider when choosing a hotel in Bergen. If you are visiting Bergen, I would recommend choosing a hotel closer to the Fish Market instead. The location is much more convenient, especially if you have large luggage, and there are plenty of hotels in that area that would make getting around much easier. For a hotel of this standard and price, I expected much better service, cleanliness and facilities. Overall: unfriendly reception, inadequate housekeeping, outdated rooms, poor bathroom design, no proper air conditioning, difficult access with luggage, and a very uncomfortable sleeping experience. I would NOT stay here again. STAY AWAY!

    This place barely has very basic amenities (single combined shampoo/body wash) and came with stained towels. The sound proofing wasn't great either despite getting a room that did not face the street. 15 minutes walk from the train station is a bit far during the rainy season
