Lovely place, great value but perhaps avoid during the Braderie weekend!

The location is excellent for exploring the old town of Lille. Very easy to find and right next to the Esplanade which was brilliant for antiques at the Braderie. The two top floors of the house were lovely and homely, bright and sunny with great facilities and good storage. Lovely bath next to bedroom. Nice to have the outside space of the courtyard.

The ground floor did smell a little damp as others have said, although can imagine with the fire lit in the winter it would be cosy. Our main issue was that there is an outdoor nightclub directly next door. Others mentioned noise from the nightclub but I wasn't prepared for how bad it was - during the Braderie it was pumping out extremely loud music from 2pm-2am Saturday and Sunday. The bass was vibrating through the bedroom and so it was impossible to sleep.

The stairs are very narrow. At night you have to take them to go to the toilet, it makes it difficult to move inside the appartement. Very small TV.

Cozy time in Lille

It's a cozy place. Independent check-in and out is very practical and we were allowed to check in a bit earlier. TV connected to Netflix and other streamings was a plus.

We ran out of hot water in the morning, and it just came back the day after.

Heel fijn!

Ruimte en schoon. Uitgebreid en compleet uitgerust. Ligging perfect tov centrum en parkeren. Keurig te woord gestaan door host.

De tuin mocht wat beter onderhouden. Veel overwoekerd onkruid. En benden was er best een grondlucht zoals in eerdere recensies al opgenoemd. Voor 1 nacht geen probleem.

Un joli logement bien situé, mais quelques déceptions pour le prix

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette maisonnette charmante, bien située dans un quartier calme et agréable de Lille, à proximité d’un parc, du centre historique, de la gare et de tout ce qu’on peut faire à pied. Il y a aussi un petit bar très sympa dans la rue. L’endroit est mignon, la literie de la chambre confortable, et la salle de bain très bien aménagée. En été, l’extérieur doit être un vrai atout. La conciergerie a également été arrangeante pour nous permettre une arrivée anticipée à 15h, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.

Cependant, malgré ces points positifs, nous avons été globalement déçus par la prestation, surtout compte tenu du prix payé pour une seule nuit. Il y a eu plusieurs petits problèmes qui, pris séparément, seraient passés, mais mis bout à bout, ont pesé sur notre expérience. Il y a d’abord eu un malentendu avec la conciergerie concernant une caution qu’on nous a demandé de régler une seconde fois, alors qu’elle avait déjà été prise en charge via Booking. Ensuite, la photo du boîtier à clés n’était pas à jour sur l’annonce, ce qui nous a fait perdre du temps à notre arrivée. Le boîtier a en plus eu un dysfonctionnement, et les codes ne fonctionnaient pas : nous avons dû patienter un long moment sous la pluie pour pouvoir entrer. Autre point à noter : la pièce du rez-de-chaussée est assez froide, et le chauffage ne peut pas être géré directement dans le logement — cela se fait à distance. Malheureusement, cela n’a pas fonctionné non plus, rendant la nuit sur le canapé-lit peu confortable. Ce canapé-lit est d’ailleurs très fin : acceptable pour une nuit et une personne, mais pas vraiment adapté pour plus. Enfin, côté cuisine, quelques petits ustensiles manquaient, comme des tasses à café, ce qui est dommage pour un logement de ce standing. Encore une fois, ce sont des détails qui peuvent tout à fait être réglés rapidement. La conciergerie a été disponible et désolée pour les désagréments, ce que nous avons apprécié. Rien de dramatique, mais nous espérions un service un peu plus professionnel vu le tarif.

Les escaliers sont très étroits, cela complique les déplacements dans le logement - voire peut les rendre dangereux. Le bruit : le logement est situé juste au dessus d’un bar/club ouvert tous les soirs…
