the staff ws so welcoming and nice, even made a quick breakfast when we didnt have time for full breakfast on the spot so we didnt go hungry, and helped us find the granola so we could buy some with us home. best place we've ever stayed in. Truly amazing value for the money.
The bus to the city is right outside if you dont feel like walking in, but it is close enough for walking.

The breakfast was fresh and very tasty. A good variety, with vegetarian and vegan options as well. Great location, about 15 minutes walk through the university and along a canal to downtown.

Our room was a bit on the small size, but fine for one or two nights. The bathroom is also on the small size but the shower was good. The breakfast ranges from cold cereals through eggs cooked to order, French toast and pancakes. Coffee and tea are available anytime in the dining room. The guest house has plenty of off-street parking. After travelling two weeks, we asked about where a laundry mat was located and we were told that we were welcome to use the in-house washer and dryer. That was a great treat. Thank you.
Oddly the building numbers are not sequential on Upper Newcastle Street. The guest house is located on the corner, directly across from the petrol station. One morning we ordered the full Irish breakfast, which unfortunately was served cold (or perhaps lukewarm on cold plates). We heard the cook was new, so perhaps this is just part of the learning curve.

Staff were friendly on arrival. The breakfast was lovely.
We had to check out early, told the waiter the previous morning who said they could not accommodate us with any pastries for breakfast as it was too early even though we had paid for it. He said he was not working the next day and it wasn't his problem, but would check for us. Had no response. Very disappointed.
